Avis Car Rental

Needed a car to make a quick trip up north, great staff member who cared for us.

I would avoid renting from this place at all costs. The website says they are open until 6:00, but the door has a piece of duct tape covering the hours that says 5:30. I got charged for an entire day because they closed 30 minutes before their posted time on their website. Same thing with the full. I brought it back with 13.5 gallons of gas because I filled up 10 miles away from their office. They charged my an additional $30 for that. I will find a new place to rent cars besides Avis or Budget.

*** BEWARE OF UNSCRUPULOUS BEHAVIORS *** My first time renting was online in September 2022 for a 2pm pick-up and 2pm Sunday drop-off. I was given a Toyota Corolla only 3/4 of gas but Ms. Makda the counter agent typed on my contract that she gave me a Kia Soul with a full tank of gas. I returned the car at 2:15pm on Sunday to find out they closed at 2pm. I called 800 Avis # who told they will charge me for another full day. At pick-up Ms. Makda smiled in my face but wasn't kind enough to advise me they close at 2pm and to return the car before 2pm. My 2nd time renting was this past weekend. I was given a Kia Soul only 3/4 of gas but Ms. Makda type it had a full tank of gas. Upon return, Ms. Gina asked did I return the car with a full tank of gas and I said yes. I refuse to argue with them hence the review.

I rented a car thru Uber on Thursday.I was given a KIA Soul with Club so nobody steals it.i purchased insurance and roadside assistance.on Friday I was driving with My Wife to Michigan,I was 10 miles over the border when I heard a pop,and white smoke was coming out the back.i immediately pulled over.all the oil had leaked from the engine.i called roadside assistance around 2 pm,and was told it would be 45 minutes,2 hours later I got a call from a tow truck driver in Tennessee.I told him I was in Michigan.I call roadside assistance again,and they tried to send out the same guy again.after this happened 1 more time.I called roadside assistance 1 more time and said look you are not listening to me ,I am in Michigan and she hung up.I called Columbus office to try to get help and was told it's My problem.this is only half the story.
