Complete fail today: East side of Campus after OSU game. Today, for some reason, the CPD blocked Summit Street heading towards downtown. Our only alternative was N. Fourth St. which took an hour to get to Hudson St. in order to access I-71. Ridiculous!
The traffic lights at Summit and Hudson were not manned by CPD and could not handle the extra traffic. You decide to limit access to the south but do nothing to handle the resulting nourthbound traffic. Who made this decision.
The pressure on the Hudson/N. 4th St. intersection could have been relieved by allowing access to I-71 on 17th avenue. Unfortunately, access to I-71 was blocked at the fairgrounds by some toll booth because of an exhibition. Ridiculous! Is there no coordination within the city?
Drivers were revolting and driving around the toll booth in order to access I-71. It is crazy that the State Fairgrounds can limit access to I-71 because they don't want to build a pedestrian tunnel under 17th Ave.
I have no idea what the west side of campus looked like today. But, the east side was the worst I have ever seen.
