    In my opinion, A Brighter Living (ABL) should NOT be providing any services to the disabled. Our disabled adult grandson was under their care for five months. We visited the group home ABL managed weekly, and what we saw and experienced was upsetting to say the least. We raised our concerns to ABL management, but our concerns fell on deaf ears, as we received little to no response. We escalated our concerns to the FCBDD, FCBDD met with all three adult residents of this same group home, and the residents (including our grandson) asked for ABL to be removed and replaced with a new service provider. ABL was removed and replaced. The full story would be too long to write up here, but let it be known that ABL's staff rarely would prepare meals for the residents, they did not appear to even be aware of the resident's ISPs, they were overheard raising their voices to the clients/residents, they spent more time on the cell phones than they did providing care for our disabled loved ones.

    First I would give 0 stars. My son was in their care for 6 months was denied medical care over and over. Daily medical care was not being met. Anther client had to call for medical care. When the client called for my son he was abused physically by staff. The staff yell and scream at the clients. They deny medical care always telling them they dont have staff to take them for their medical care. They have repeatedly chastised or obtaining medical care. I had to call the police for him to be taken to the hospital because he has cancer and was being told by the supervisor Rosa he didnt have cancer snd needed to stop feeling sorry for himself and being lazy . They dont return phone calls. The staff stay in their cell phones their whole shift not taking care of clients needs. My son was told he couldnt have home visits because her staff wouldnt get there hours in. Medication was lost during transit from my home to his home and was not given his medication for a week then the supervisor questions me about it a week later when staff never counted medication or even looked in the bag he too after picking up my son. The supervisor Rosa yells at parents and lies to them. Shes very unprofessional. She threatens my son if he doesnt do what she tells him. Shes went to the hospital screaming at my son and was escorted out she was because she was causing such a screen. My son was in bed for 3 days staff not even checking on him Rosa refused to respond to me about concerns for my son. My daughter showed up to get him medical care they still refused medical care my daughter had to call the police then he was taken to the hospital from a squad. He gets the the hospital and he was severely dehydrated hes has a uti he has cancer in many of his organs and the hospital was not happy when he was checked. He had to be admitted to the hospital he was so sick. They sent staff to the hospital hours later staff was on the with supervisor Rosa and refused to speak with my son she had already hung up on him after he let her know he was at the hospital. I do not recommend this company if you want proper care of your loved ones.
