I've been working with Alice at Centering Wholeness for a few years now and the experience has completely changed my life and had ripple effects on my close friends and family, even on my colleagues. Understanding myself more, my negative beliefs and triggers, and processing a lot of trauma has been hugely beneficial. I've been able to now put in place super clear boundaries, change my thinking patterns and get introduced to new therapy modalities like EMDR. Alice's trauma-informed approach and dual Ghanaian-American cultural heritage are two of the things that made me want to work with her, but she offers so much more. I'm forever grateful for the work we've done together and would recommend her to people who identify as immigrants, BIPOC or LGBTQ+ especially - she is super compassionate, knowledgeable, inclusive and just a very supportive therapist.

Raquel led us through a relaxing, focused series of breathing and posture. I enjoyed taking time to realign my body and my mind. Her words were gentle, encouraging, and inspiring. Thank you Sis!

I have had the pleasure of working with centering wholeness in a professional capacity. This practice is intentional about building spaces for BIPOC populations , providing supervision, and ways to self care. It has been a pleasure to provide my own services but also join in on discussion that help support other black professionals and communities to be whole not perfect. Everyone on any level can use this sense of community and connection. They will never be disappointed.

The founder and director of Centering Wholeness, Alice Mills Mai, is one of the most ethical, values-driven, intelligent colleagues that I work with. She is intersectional and collaborative in her approach with clients as well as leading her clinical team. I would highly recommend her clinical and supervisory services to anyone looking for a practice that centers BIPOC clients and therapists! Alpana Choudhury, LMHC
