    UPDATE: 10/3/23: 8:19 am - despite telling them to leave me alone, Jessica just called me back and said that they make calls at all times of day and that mental health doesn't have a schedule. There is a reason or excuse for everything here. The complete lack of accountability and respect is beyond disgusting. UPDATE: 10/3/23: Jessica the "customer service" person thinks it's ok to call a mental health patient before 8 am. She then questioned in the voicemail this review and implied it was my fault that I was unhappy because I didn't tell them I didn't want a male provider. I am curious if anyone at this agency has trauma-informed care training? Daniel, my provider, interrupted me repeatedly during the appointment, wouldn't let me finish my sentences and was dismissive throughout the entire appointment. LEAVE ME ALONE. YOU HAVE DONE ENOUGH. It's seriously alarming that you are allowed to interact with people with PTSD at all given this experience. UPDATE 9/28/23: My therapist convinced me to just get through to an appointment because I really needed mental health medication management but yesterday's appointment with Daniel was the worst medical experience of my life. I feel re-traumatized, didn't sleep at all last night, have barely eaten since my appointment and feel sick. I am in shock that a mental health provider doesn't come from a place of trauma informed care but that was the exact opposite of my experience yesterday. I'd especially advise women looking for help with CPTSD symptoms to avoid. My therapist sent them a referral. When I called to follow up more than a week later they said they didn't have it and I could fill out a form online and that someone would get back to me in 3-5 business days. To be so dismissed when I was trying to be proactive about a mental health crisis is beyond disgusting.

UPDATE 10-03-2023: Mental Health doesn't have a time limit or hours from 9-5, which is why we have an on-call provider and staff available to assist 24/7. Regarding the original review: If a non-PFHL therapist doesn't send a promised referral to PFHL,  that is out of our control and not our fault. However, at PFHL, we make things super easy - you don't need a referral to become a new patient. Our kind and compassionate staff patiently walks callers through completing our New Patient Application. Once completed, we process your application and call to schedule within 3-5 business days. We pride ourselves in being able to see patients for their 1st appointment within 4 weeks; instead of waiting months for treatment.Second, when scheduling the first appointment, we are very thorough in giving you all the appointment info and making sure you have everything you need: name of the provider, time/date, extra paperwork to be completed, virtual visit link, etc. We give all appointments details over the phone and then send an email with the details after scheduling.
