Columbus Aquatics Center

As far as public pools go, this is a really wonderful place to go for lap swim and more. It is extremely cheap to get passes, and there is plenty of space in the pool for people. The reason why I have to give a low rating is the locker room situation. I come in the mornings to swim laps, and almost every time I am leaving the pool there is some issue with the janitor cleaning the woman's locker room. The cleaning time is never consistent. It can be as early as 8:30am, or as late as 9:30am. There is no set schedule, and I never know how long the cleaning is going to take. I am really confused as to why the janitor picks really inconvenient times to clean. I am not alone in this frustration either. A lot of us ladies are getting out of the pool at different times during lap swim find it really frustrating. Especially when the janitor lets someone go shower, and then gets mad when the rest of us also want to use the showers. All I ask for is that the janitor cleans on a consistent schedule. I would just love to know when the locker room would be closed for cleaning in advance.

I went in today because my sports medicine doctor told me I need to get more aquatic time for my left knee and foot and I though I know the perfect place. The pool looked amazing, you could tell it was nice and warm however 8 lockers o tried didnt work and took my money. I went to the desk to get more quarters and they told me they are not responsible for the lockers. I told them I already had tried 6 lockers and thats $3.00 they had to change me for a $5 and were fine with them not working well I got my change and went back into the locker room and 2 more lockers would not work. So I changed and left they didnt pay a bit of attention to me even leaving they were looking either at their cell phones or on tablets. I have been to the aquatic center many times and never once experienced this but today I had to drive all the way from Hilliard to get here and they really just honestly didnt care and thats sad.

Love coming here to swim laps! Front desk is very helpful, lifeguards are trained well, showers/changing rooms are clean.
