Clean rooms, close to everything around

Ive stayed at this hotel about 10 times in the past. Ive grown used to the train that runs by about 100 feet from the parking lot and the spa and pool never being open. This time I experienced something entirely different and I will no longer being staying at this hotel. Upon checking in, we received our keys and were informed of the elevator being out. We were given a room on the 4th floor and told that no rooms were available on a lower floor. Not the end of the World. We gather our bags and take them up the stairs to the 4th floor. When we arrive at our room, the door was open. Thats strange, but we checked the room and it had been serviced by housekeeping and it was almost 11 pm, so we were happy to get a shower and a bed. The next morning we went to spend time with family and came back that evening. Well, our room hadnt been touched by housekeeping. We informed the front desk, who was the same person that checked us into our room. Since my wife had done the checkin, this is the first she had seen me. She asked what our room number was and she didnt have me in that room. In fact, we werent checked into any room. We had been marked as a no show. I had dinner plans and couldnt wait to talk with a manager who was going to fix the issue that night. On my way back to the hotel, I was informed the manager fixed the issue. What they did was issued a new reservation number and assigned that room to me for a single night. Not good because the room we were put into, could have been assigned to someone else since we werent checked into the system. I still didnt have my room serviced. With the security issues I experienced, I would have expected a little more from the GM who my wife contacted. We were given a comp night and some points. Not nearly worth the issues we put up with. Until this place is remodeled, thats the building and the staff is replaced, to include the GM, I will not be staying there. I will also advise my family and friends to not stay there because the staff doesnt care about fixing issues. They put a bandaid on it and move on.

The pool looked nasty, and the elevator quit working. At 72 and on the 4th floor, that was not good. Heard the elevator broke a few days earlier. Made a lot of noise when it did work. Rooms: Very nice. Food & drinks: Great breakfast.
