        We stopped by Northwest Self Storage to meet with a guy that was selling some items out of his storage unit. The place seems pretty safe they have a gated entrance. Although somebody came walking through asking us if we could give a jump to his car and we were not able to help him out. All in all the Northwest Self Storage seems like a safe place to store your items.

        This place needs a lower rating! I made an online reservation for a 5x10 space. I got to the location and wanted to talk to the manager on-site. The office was supposed to be open after 10 am. It was closed and no one would answer the door. It was after 10 am when I arrived. Called the customer service number and got some help. Looked at the space and it was smaller than I reserved. A 4x9. It was not a nice space and smelled musty! There was a woman who stepped out to smoke a cigarette but when I head back to the office to talk to someone, she closed the curtains to avoid seeing us, and us, her. The office not being opened during stated times, and the avoidance of this person of customers, has told me all I need to know about this location and this company. I canceled my reservation and I strongly suggest avoiding this location and this company. #### The U-Haul Storage at Columbia, 955 N Columbia Blvd, Portland, OR 97217 ***took excellent care of me. *** ####
