I am sad to report that I have lost trust in this clinic I once praised. I require routine dental maintenance to be handled by a hygienist and have had the privilege working with the competent and helpful Ana for years. She is one of my favorite medical professionals and I have so appreciated her pragmatism and sincerity. I have suffered considerable mental health obstacles over the years. During a rough season I also experienced a physical injury that rendered me immobile. So my regular maintenance with Ana lapsed. Gentle Dental offers no digital portal to communicate with patients. Their infrastructure is so outdated that it's a straight up lack of consideration for their customers. Even going as far as to require one to physically come in to sign documents, though there is no legal requirement for this. It's an inconsiderate mess. When I was finally able to schedule an appointment I was two months booked out. To continue working with Ana was worth the wait. I did wish that I could communicate with her to make sure I wasn't risking my dental health by waiting this long. But no, this is Gentle Dental, so one does not seem to have that option. I received an e-mail verification, only to be sent yet another one with an entirely different date. Seemed a little clumsy on their part. While I waited I ran into a separate dental issue that put me in unbearable pain. To the point I was struggling to use my mouth. I called in about this and the person who answered, Heidi, seemed irritated, condescending, and it was as though I was a problem to her. When I told her that I urgently needed to talk with someone she suggested that I "check Google". What a gross error in caring for a patient. I guess Heidi wasn't clued in on the fact that they have an after hours line, which I learned much later. Their website makes statements about emergency care that comes across as false promises. In the past I have corresponded with a staff member named Selina. While it is not her responsibility, I hoped that she might at least know how I could get help. Despite reaching out to her multiple times her only solution was to come in at an early hour. I told her how my family was sick and my daughter had me up past 5:00 AM. There was no way with my pain, sickness, and lack of sleep that I could show up at that hour. I asked if I might be able to a tad later but there was no response. She completely ignored me and I am beside myself at the lack of sympathy from someone working in the medical industry. Even more surprising was when she mentioned that I wasn't coming in for my routine maintenance but only a check up. I hadn't been in for too long due to my health, so that all made sense. I was confused as to why they couldn't have set extra time aside to take care of me all at once. To shrug and tell me to deal with it is some kind of tone deaf. Especially after a two-month wait. Finally the appointment day came. Someone named Kaylee called to say that there was "scheduling craziness" and that I needed to come in immediately, hours before I had been scheduled. When I told her I could not jump in the car to shoot over there that moment she told me the appointment was cancelled. I told her that due to my pain I thought it would be prudent to talk with Ana before rescheduling. Kaylee agreed but instead of leaving me with any resolution, she randomly hung up. What a lack of respect for my personal life. I get that things change up, but this was incredibly unprofessional. I shouldn't have to explain to their team that I was behind on critical maintenance. This should all be on their radar. It's now been three days with no call from Ana. I doubt she was ever told about me. She has an integrity level far beyond this nonsense. The lack of concern for my pain, the fumbling of caring for my ongoing needs, and the gaslighting of my personal health is is nothing short of obscene. Clearly this clinic does not give a rip about making sure their patients have longterm relationships and care.

I have horrible anxiety around dental work and needed some major work done. I could not speak more highly of the doctor here and all the wonderful staff. By miles the BEST experience I have ever had at the dentist. The doctor was so good with the numbing injections I was genuinely shocked (I have been to 8 different dentists in my adult life and he was bar far the best at this!) and gas only ran me an extra $20 a visit. I will come back to this dentist for as long as I can. If I moved out of state, I would happily fly in just to continue going to this office. That good!!
