Hotel Indigo Harrisburg – Hershey, an IHG Hotel

Like with restaurants when it comes to hotels I never write a review unless they exceed my expectations. I have to say that Indigo met that standard. We are from Maine headed to NC and needed a place about half way to stop and I researched and liked the looks and price of Indigo. I really wanted a hotel that had a nice restaurant right in the hotel but in the end, they did not have the amount of menu selections I had hoped for. So we went outside the hotel to eat. But geez there are great restaurants all around the hotel! What I liked about Indigo was the quality of the service they provided (employees were all great), just a nice feeling in the air and how the employees approached and appeared to like their jobs, the cleanliness, the attention to detail and of course the price. And they do serve a great breakfast! So, I give them a 5 star because they earned it. Can't be everything to everyone but they have figured out what is most important. We are now staying here because of their great job on our way back from NC!

Hotel double charged me for the room (I got the room through a third party booking agency, traveluro) who charged my bank card and the hotel charged my credit card for the room again plus they charged me a smoking fee and I did not smoke in the room!!! (581.40 charged by the hotel to my credit card plus 341.00 charged by traveulro to my bank card. Over $900 for a two night stay in a second rate hotel) Now I have to dispute charges which is a whole other headache! Never staying at another indigo hotel again!!
