SC Voucher Program

I work in child care and this program has helped so many families!! The only downside is the amount of time that we wait for responses and acceptance letters.

Yes, it may take you 6 weeks before you hear back but it is certainly worth it. Ive had ABC for almost two years now and its been a god send. They were very helpful with anything Ive done ever needed. If I email them I normally get a call back the next day. I dont know what I would do without my ABC. Definitely apply and be patient if you need childcare.

We have been trying for over 4 months to get my granddaughter into childcare. This state funded program is a joke. We moved from North Carolina and never went through this long of a wait for childcare assistance. The state of SC really needs to look into this program and make proper adjustments to better serve families. The representatives are rude, short, not helpful on the phone. The wait times to even get a live person is ridiculously long over a hours at times. Then they keep requesting check stubs after we have already submitted what was requested for the prior month. Its like we are going round & round in circles due to the incompetence of the employees.

Hold times are ridiculous and no one answers even once the line is transferred to a live rep. It's impossible to get through to discuss your issues with staff at any time during the day. Highly dissatisfied.

I see I am not the only one who is having this issue of no one is answering the phones. Wait times is hours and nobody is answering even while waiting. . Ive submitted my application in since July 1 and its now August and still havent heard no response. I even tried emailing people too. Nothing! This is absolutely ridiculous when their are single parents as myself who cannot afford DayCare expenses and may have to pull the child out and not be able to work to support the child and herself. SOMEONE PLEASE REACH OUT AND HELP!
