This guy tried to charge me almost four times what he'd quoted, even after making mistakes that took a one day job to a five day job. I wouldn't pay the extra, so he said he'd keep what he built for me. I said fine, keep it, then he blocked my exit from the garage and tried to keep me from taking my things and leaving. I had my phone out with two digits of 911 dialed before he relented, but even then he realized he was being left with nothing and started trying to negotiate with me. Sorry pal, too late. What a jerk. Avoid, especially if you are female. To this day I regret not calling the cops and having him cited for unlawful detainer.
