Not able to chose ZERO stars. AN ECHO PB-500t was sent for service because the unit would refused to stay operating when ambient temp was above 50 degrees and or the engine was at operating temp, nothing I did would get the unit up to operating speed. However it would idle normally. it would also shut down if operator bent over to about to about 75 degrees or at the 1430 position on the clock. it would also 4-stroke if the throttle trigger was quickly depressed and within 4 to 6 seconds after pressing the trigger the unit would shutdown . any combination of the above usually resulted in the unit stalling out All this was explained to the service manger. I was advised to purchase the special 50:1 gas ( home depot ) which i declined when i picked the unit up . i am able to obtain real gas and can mix 2 stroke proficiently . i only use the PB500t maybe 3 times a year. its drained and stored correctly. Two years later , THE MALFUNCTION WAS NOT REPAIRED because the same issues have resurfaced. nothing has changed . the problems lies in the mixture settings on the carb, If the repair tech had duplicated the conditions i described to the service manager they would preformed the proper maintenance. ECHO will not sell the carb tool to the general public due to CALIFORNIA smog rules . i know this because i have experience in small engine repair but do not have a business account . this was wasted money, time on my end so to save your self any issues look for a different shop if you are a homeowner
