Morning Light Midwifery

She was everything I could ask for in a midwife. Ive had 3 home-births with 3 different midwives because I moved states often, and Liz was my favorite one.

It is very unfortunate that I have to leave a 1 star review but it also feels very necessary. If you are looking for a personalized style of care, this is not the midwife or the practice for you. Liz seems very professional and experienced but the way I was treated felt 100% like I was in a physician office where my personal feelings and wishes were completely ignored. This is while OBs have to deal with hundreds of patients and charge almost nothing but Liz charged me hundreds of dollars and left me high and dry. Unlike what she stated during her initial visit, she did not know how to prescribe a very routine and simple blood test that I was a big fan of, she did not even ask the lab for the simplest prenatal panel and I had to follow up with her and push to find out that none of the tests I asked for were done. And the only way was to go back to the lab and give more blood because the 6 tubes that they had was no longer good! I have HG and a toddler and doing that was just too frustrating for me. And as soon as I gave a respectful and honest comment about how I felt, Liz dismissed me as her client, it literally took her 10 minutes to make that decision. Which I did not have any issue with until I asked her for a bill to submit to my insurance and after two weeks, I still have no response from her. And now I know that there are CPM s so caring and knowledgeable that will draw your blood in the comfort of your own home but Liz directed me to a physician office for the test after she decided that her feelings were hurt.
