The local people from Star Valley refer to this place as simply "The Hatchery", or "The Trout Hatchery". Although it is technically within Idaho, it is run by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department! It is one of the most overlooked sites of interest in the Star Valley area, and is a great place to spend an afternoon either fishing or observing the operations of hatching the fish and raising them to be released into the wild.
