    I have owned my boat for over 30 years and had a mish mash of old electronic systems, lemmings. Etc. which were failing. Devren not only deciphered the wiring but installed an efficient and beautifully functioning navigation system and autopilot. The system is streamlined, labeled, and understandable. Devren installed it in a timely manner and was wonderful working around our schedule as we passed back and forth through Petersburg. The F/V Savage now has a safe and efficient system!! Thank you Devren. Also a big thank you to the Petersburg Harbormaster who were so helpful in finding us a place to tie up and accommodating the changes to our schedule

    On February 8th my computer began to periodically get the infamous blue screen of death. After talking to a couple of individuals within Wrangell. They told me to call Homeport Electronics. One person gave me a good review, the other person told me not use them. Being in Wrangell I was limited, so I figured I would take a chance. On February 12th I called HomePort and explain to Devren about my computer. Devren told me to ship it to them and they would take care of it for me. That same day I shipped my computer to HomePort Electronics via Sunrise air. On February 15th I called to confirm they received my computer. Devren confirmed he received it and said he would be contacting me in one to two days about my computer. The whole week past and I received no phone call from Homeport Electronics. Since I received no phone call or update on my computer, I called them on February 22nd at 9:30 in the morning. When the Devren answered the phone, I informed him who I was and why I was calling. He chuckled and then let out a little sigh as if he forgotten all about my computer. He started telling me a story about updates and this and that and then told me I was on his list of people to call that morning. He informed me he would call me back in an hour to give me an update. 2 hours later he called and said my motherboard was bad. Not wanting to call bullcrap because he had my computer. I let him tell me it was the motherboard. I'm no computer Guru but I know you you cannot diagnose a motherboard in an hour. I asked him if he had a computer comprable to mine and he said no. "Are computers start at $700". My computer was an inexpensive model but it was important to me. I got the impression Devren did not want to waste his time with my little cheap computer. I asked him if I can just get it shipped back to me and he said yes. Another week went by without any word or updates about my computer. On March 1st, I called to inquire yet again about my computer they still had. The Devren begin telling me another story how Petersburg is locked down with COVID, and no flights were coming in or out. I know this to be lie because I talked to two different pilots who flew in and out of Petersburg twice that week. HomePort Electronics had my computer for 2 1/2 weeks and did nothing. They never called me and when I called them the first time, they acted like I was bothering them. Then they told me it was a motherboard in order to get rid of my cheap little computer. I do not recommend this business to anybody. Pay the extra money and mail your computer to a legitimate business. Unless you have an expensive (500$ and above) computer, they will not waste their time with you. It's sad that they know how difficult it is living on an island in Alaska and yet they treat customers this way. As of today, I still have not received my computer, and I don't think I ever will. Can't go to small claims because the courts are not doing small claims due to COVID. I guess I'll just chalk this up as a loss...
