Park Meridian Apartments

Been dealing with roaches since I arrived. Building did a treatment once in October and has since ignored my messages about continued issues with pests. I have lived here three months and have had multiple issues. Maintenance has done their best to respond quickly, but the fact that I've had so many issues in a short time with 0 response to my pest issues makes me wish I'd signed elsewhere.

Van Metre Park Meridian management team showed up unannounced to my door while I am working from home during a pandemic and interrupted me on a work call to basically tell me that there are no issues with the laundry machines that myself and others have reported and personally struggled with using.

So many ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES! Ew ew ew. The owners of the building have been trying to sell it since February 2021 and ever since then refuse to do ANY maintenance or upkeep. Door locks remain broken, windows flood in the rain, the washer and dryer break and remain broken for months. We formed a tenants association and I cannot tell you the many many emails that go around of all that's wrong with this building. You can't control your own heat, so its sweltering in the fall when it turns on in September and October and is still 90 degrees. Residents have met with each other and complain over and over again that maintenance nor the owner never listen and things are dirty and broken all the time here. AVOID.

I've been living at Park Meridian for 2.5 months in a studio and have been impressed, no problems whatsoever. It seems that you can't really take Google ratings seriously when looking for an apartment, mostly because the people who generally leave reviews are a tiny vocal minority. Anyways, the apartments are nice and clean, great location too, near 14th and 18th St. 10-15 minute bike ride into the center, and 15-20 minute walk to DuPont circle. I had one issue with my garbage disposal and it was fixed same day. Management is easy to contact. Would recommend.
