I have been very disappointed with the level of care here. I don't feel like they make accommodations for children who are nervous around the dentist. They have some fun games in the waiting room and mildly good paintings on the walls, but other than that, I'm not sure why they are calling themselves a pediatric dentistry. My son is very scared of having anyone do anything in his mouth. We have been taking him to our dentist and he has at least been letting them clean his teeth and we managed to get some x-rays done. We found out he has two cavities. They referred us to this pediatric dentist because of his fear, and they thought laughing gas would be good for him. When we came for a consultation the dentist they didn't have our records, despite the fact that I had them sent over weeks before. We had to sit in the room and wait for them to look over his x-rays and then (and I am not exaggerating) the dentist looked at his teeth for 30 seconds and then spent one minute with us saying he does, in fact, have cavities. The dental assistant then explained a little bit about crowns vs fillings, etc. We decided on crowns. When we came in, for the appointment, they didn't put any effort into making him feel comfortable or calm. They just laid him on the chair and tried the laughing gas. It didn't work at all and he was terrified. The hygienist seemed frustrated at him for being scared?? The whole experience was very frustrating. We then came in two more times and it was exactly the sameno effort at all. Finally they told me he would need to be put under general anesthesia to get the crowns on. The weekend before the surgery they called and said I needed to pay their portion right then (or by Monday at the latest) or else his surgery would be cancelled. I got absolutely no warning that we would be required to pay before hand. We were waiting on our tax return for the money, so we didn't have it right then. I thought it was weird they wanted the payment before the service was done and I said as much. The lady was very dismissive and said "This is how we have done it for the 9 years I have worked here." That doesn't make it a good policy. In the end I did not feel comfortable paying for a service that had not been completed yet from a practice that I felt like had put no effort into avoiding the surgery. It felt like they were pushing us into the surgery because they would get more money from it. Very frustrating. We eventually found another pediatric dentist and our experience has been worlds better. Steer clear of this place.

Back in June of this year 2023, I took my kids ages 12 yrs old & 17 yrs old to the dentist. They didn't even do anything no cleaning or anything on them my kids were just given a bag with toothpaste/toothbrush & oral rinse. What they said is that they are getting older & they need to see another dentist that will be able to take care of their teeth properly. This is the worst place I've ever been to. I thought this place is supposed to be for children up to 18 years old? What kind of place is this to kick out children & send them somewhere else where it's extremely hard to get them into a dentist that accepts Medicaid? This place is very unprofessional!
