The group of movers selected for my job were unbelievable! I had originally hired another company and after the first load the driver quit. He wasn’t feeling good (hangover) and wanted to go home. I was stuck with my house torn apart and the original company couldn’t return the next day because their calendar was full. I had no idea how I was going to get the rest of my house moved. After a discussion with the first company he searched the local New Orleans area and found that helping hands was available after they completed the job they were on. The owner of the original company paid the $100 for same day service and handled the problem professionally and did everything he could do to make sure my move was completed on the scheduled date. Helping hands started moving my belongings around 5:45 pm and finished at 2:00 am. These guys worked extremely hard and took very good care of my furniture as they moved it up steep stairs. I can’t say enough about their work ethics and their kindness and consideration. They were AMAZING!! I would highly recommend them to anyone moving in NOLA area.

When I used Helping Hands in New Orleans, they quoted my move at 10 am. They didn’t show up until about 6pm. They broke my son’s bookshelf, dented my washing machine, as well as my entertainment center. I told them about the issue and they assured me they would make it right, but here we are three months later with no resolution or communication. I chose this company because it’s a small business and black owned. It’s really a shame they they didn’t want to take care of their customer or keep their word about finding a way to fix what they broke. Services: In-county removals, Out-of-county removals

Fine service -- they arrived just a few minutes later than expected; however, everything was moved efficiently and arrived intact. Personable and friendly movers. Overall, satisfied with the service that was provided.
