A nice week long ride across Ohio. You either ride from Indiana to Pennsylvania (or West Virginia) or from Lake Erie to the Ohio River. Everyone drives to the endpoint, parks their car, and takes a bus (and truck for bikes) to the starting point. It's a small group. This year there were about fifty people. Everyone had the opportunity to sleep indoors, usually in a gym, or camp outside. Two evening meals are provided. No rest stops, but the route always goes through towns where food is available. Seven days in a row, no days off. Just my kind of ride. Mileages are about 55 to 70 miles per day.

Very nice ride, well staffed personnel. Perfect tour for the laid back experienced bicyclist wanting to enjoy the countryside.

I have been on the past two XOBA tours and loved them both. The two I have been on have been small - only about 120 riders but that works out well in that there are no long lines to wait in and it is easier to get to know the other riders. Along the route you can stop anywhere you want to get a bite to eat or just enjoy the scenery. I especially enjoy stopping at local diners for a nice breakfast and lunch. Each afternoon at the camp site free popcorn is popped and delicious fruit smoothies are for sale which are exceptionally welcome after a day riding in July heat. The camp sites have all been good with plenty of restrooms and showers available. XOBA is an enjoyable tour that is well run but don't expect to be pampered. In my opinion this ride is for experienced bicyclists who can do minor repairs such as fix their own flat tire or take care of other minor repairs/adjustments themselves. Age is not a factor. There are riders of all ages; from the 80's to the 30's although I guess that most are in their 50's.
