I submitted an online inquiry. Recieved a call within an hour. They were not able to provide what I needed. Garrett, the fellow I spoke with, listened, asked about my insurance and provided me with the information for another facility that could help. This guy, probably saved my life.

While my experience with the Counseling staff was invaluable my experience with the Administrative representatives was horrible. I was told that my initial and only cost would be 1100$(500$ for my copay and 600$ for room and board) with my insurance. Thats why I was shocked and blindsided by a bill for nearly five thousand dollars. I was also told, when I mentioned exercise was an important component to my long term sobriety, that I could run daily and we could attend off site crossfire 3x a week. This was a total fabrication as well. Crossfire was once a week and I was only allowed to walk in front of the building and run on the occasion that we were taken to a nearby park. Other situations had to be dealt with that are too numerous to list here. Be aware that of what promises are made and read everything carefully. This business preaches sobriety but is motivated by money.

Let me start by saying u was an actual resident who went thru the program... I feel that when calling to inquire about the treatment process and what it will be like during ur stay the intake coordinators need to be fully transparent... as such the first 2 weeks ALL residents are on a blackout period so no cell phones for the first 14 days this is for YOUR OWN benefit ... there are certain exceptions which can be made in advance if you discuss it PRIOR to signing ANY paperwork... once you sign it there’s no changing it. So if you know you need to pay a bill. That’s due sometime in those first 14 days set it up with intake and also make them sign ur own document. I was known for throwing “entitled” fits and that was wrong on MY part. Crestview made me see that this program WORKS if u can put aside your own selfishness and be open to changing old habits and behaviors... it took me weeks to come to this realization but Crestview I FEEL does genuinely care and want to help the clients who come here for help... Erin the female therapist is one of the main reasons I have made such HUGE positive life changes.... She is by far a person who is doing exactly what she was ment to do. she has such a huge positive impact on people’s lives ... and anyone who may feel differently simply wasn’t willing to be open to making changes... I know this because I fought on accepting her help the first month I was there... I regret the time it took me to finally be willing to accept her help, I feel I would have had so much more amazing progress in my recovery had I not been so close minded and rejected her help right from the beginning... she without a doubt knows EXACTLY what she’s doing with each and every person who comes in Crestview. I am rambling but I just can’t express my unwavering gratitude for everything Erin has done for me and for my recovery. I strongly recommend this program if your really ready to make the positive changes in ur life to live a healthy and happy life and have a real future

I do not regret going to Crestview as it did help my recovery and it does offer a more liberal lifestyle compared to more clinical facilities. However, I was severely disappointed in the staff. The intake staff will lie to you on the phone, saying whatever sweet words they can to get you in and once you sign the contract you are stuck there or faced with severe financial fees if you choose to leave. They lie about what privileges you will have and how much time you can spend speaking on the phone with family, amongst other things. The staff in charge of governing the house and clients are all only one year sober, leaving them severely unequipped to be controlling a house of recovering patients. One staff member in particular would refuse to follow the DOCTOR’S ORDERS medical advice or provide prescribed medicines to patients. She would also intentionally do bizarre power plays for no reason, which I think is severely inappropriate for someone who is only one year sober to do to new clients. It felt somewhat like hazing or an odd power trip. The therapists were incredibly biased, though we all shared one group therapist (Erin) she would not show me any sympathy because I was not her private patient and would intentionally side with her private clients despite the fact that I was technically her patient too. She would offer her private patients emotional support when there was an altercation but never offered the same to me, and say invalidating things to me such as that my problems weren’t as important as her other private clients, which is extremely harmful and unprofessional. Additionally, the head of the program was unwilling to address these issues when I brought them up to him, leaving me with a “take it or leave it” situation, which is frustrating because to “take it” meant severe toll on my mental health and self esteem and to “leave it” meant going AMA and being charged with hefty medical bills and no insurance. Like I said, I don’t regret going because if I hadn’t gone to SOME sort of facility I’d be way worse off. But I think there are better facilities to go to by far if you care for your integrity, mental health, and quality of care.
