We hired New Look Builders after extensive research and comparing 5 quotes from different companies for a major exterior renovation of our 4 bed 2.5 bath home - replacing our roof, siding, windows, garage & entry doors. This is the first review I have ever taken the time to write down, because I feel so strongly about how New Look Builders took care of us. This was the first big renovation project I have undergone, and it was really important for us to trust the salesmen, the crew we let into our home (especially when we are not there), the quality of their work, and the legitimacy of their warranty. While all the companies seemed very similar on the surface, New Look Builders stood out to us immediately. The other 4 quotes came in with similar numbers, but they all outsourced the actual work (which makes is easy for contractors to ghost you if you run into issues in the future). I didn’t like that these quotes were a compilation of different companies and contractors for each job (they have “departments” for roof, another for windows, and another for siding - which is 3 companies, 3 contracts, 3 sets of contractors and crews, And 3 sets of warranties). Sounds overly complicated and to be honest a little too shady for me. So, after exhausting all the big brand companies you hear on the radio and see on TV, we met with NLB last. They are a local, family-owned company that I came across towards the end of my search. They blew me away with their customization options and warranties. NLB was able to do the roof, siding, doors, and the windows, all in a few days. They offered many more product options than the others, installed everything in house, and still beat competitor pricing, which simplified & expedited the entire process, and made the warranty straight forward and easy to understand. They replaced our entire roof (in one day!), all of our siding, doors (which was the most fun part to pick out) and 44 windows (one of which was a complicated new construction requiring an engineer to move some weight bearing pilings). Dan and Charly took care of everything. They were always available, always on site, and really went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. Did I say clean? I think I found one nail in the driveway after they left. I cannot express the gratitude I have for this company!! A little background on us: I wanted to move; my husband wanted to stay. The house needed work either way, we couldn’t have sold it in the condition it was in, so we agreed to do our own version of “love it, or list it”. We now have the sharpest house on the block, and I come home smiling every day and never want to move. When we are ready to replace our back deck, we will be coming back to New Look Builders for the job, cause guess what, they do that too! Update: We did the deck! Check her out, she's a beaut. New Look Builders did a great job on our vacation home! They were wonderful to work with and explained all the insulation options. They even cleaned up the yard! After shopping around with five companies their price was right in line. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

New Look? Should be called Not a Good Look builders. They removed the old roof in such a fury that they did not take the time to protect the siding, windows, and other areas connected to the roof during our full roof replacement. They didn't cover or protect anything that was in the attic and we had several windows, screens, and the siding damaged costing us a lot of money to fix after they refused to make the siding look as it did before they started the job. A month after the new roof was installed, it leaked, and now 1/2 a year later there are still small issues with the roof. We also had the gutter installed, but they also need to be repitched several times, and we still have standing water. The workers left over a dozen of the metal gutter hangers in the gutter causing leaves to collect and flooded our one side. If you look into the gutters they just gobbed caulk in all of the corners, causing water to sit as well.. We cancelled the window installation because of the lack of professionalism, care, and craftsmanship we saw during our experience. During the few weeks they were on site, there were 6 different crews, and most of the workers could not communicate in English. We now have to reinsulate because of all of the debris, smell of asphalt, and now hotter house... Do not go with this company, they weren't even close to the cheapest... Service: Roof installation
