I can't say enough good things about Impact Youth Basketball. Our son has been with the program for a couple of seasons now, and the coaches have been instrumental in helping him improve his skills and confidence on the court. They are patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about the development of each and every player. We are so grateful to have found this program and highly recommend it to anyone looking to take their game to the next level.

EXCELLENT PROGRAM. I have no idea how anyone could possibly give this less than 5 Stars. My son has improved his skills. This program has taught him not only fundamentals on the court. They treat their players with respect. They teach them to respect authority. They share from their hearts. They produce talent. They create an Impact Family out of their players, their coaches and their players family. This program is and has been extremely valuable for the growth of our player. This business should be considered a non-profit community partnership. Thank you Impact Sportz for allowing us to be a part of the family. Attached is my son Dreaming Impact & His Team!

Please look at the prior reviews and do your research prior to joining this organization.  I don't normally leave reviews; but this organization is poorly organized. First, let's not talk about the uniforms that was not the correct sizes nor did we get the #number our kids asked for. Secondly, Lonnie makes accusations about other organizations which is NOT true; especially if you decide to leave his organization to join another. Lonnie Welch (owner and director of Impact Youth Basketball) promised a lot and does not have a clue on how to deliver. This organization is NOT #1. For example, once you use the search engine in google and type AAU "Impact Youth Basketball" will be the first to come up for all of the areas. Lastly, Lonnie will host some Tournaments and upcharges the fee for everyone. All of the bad reviews are TRUE. Please do your research, observe, ask the questions, etc. before making a final decision.

Scam, scam, and did I mention scam? The game of basketball isn't taught to the kids, nor any type of fundamentals. Starting from practice, which consist of mostly unstructured scrimmages and little to no basketball teachings. Now let's get to actual games, not only is there a high probability of them losing, but even worst getting blown out embarrassingly. In game coaching was pathetic, kids playing out of control and not following any type of team concept. Coaching made no adjustments, and seemed to reward bad basketball habits. Seemed also that there was a buddy system, what I mean by that is that some kids received more playing time than deserved. Then after the games, or practice you'll see the coaches talking and smiling with certain parents. After they just got blew out, but their child got to play a large amount of time, even if it cost the team a win, so everything is all good. Not to mention one of the coach's son played for the team, and he was allowed to shoot at will with no consequence. He could be tripled team with 2 wide open teammates and decide to shoot a air ball instead of passing. You'll think the coach would do some real coaching in that situation but no. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM, UNLESS YOU WANT TO SEE YOUR CHILD PLAY FOR LOSING LOST ORGANIZATION.

About
Impact Sportz - Austin youth basketball /Cedar Park youth basketball

Impact Sportz is an Austin Youth Basketball based program that originally started in Chicago Illinois by Lonnie Welch. Since 2000 they have been producing some of the best girls and boys athletes in Chicago. Now relocated to Austin Tx, they have jump-started a basketball training program locally, with the same thoughts and training strategy. They have begun building an elite staff of coaches and players and just like Chicago they are training some of the top athletes here in Austin Texas.Their mission as a Texas youth basketball program is to create a fun, safe, and invigorating environment. They want to teach our youth the game of basketball, maximize their skills, and build the self-esteem of each boy and girl with whom they have contact with their basketball teams.
