Watch out for their aggressive drivers on the road.

I just about got taken out walking across an intersection, legally, by a driver who wasn't even looking when they went tearing around the corner. Middle of the day, bright blue jacket, I was pretty easy to see. Based on the history of horrible driving this company has, I certainly wouldn't trust them to transport anyone important to me. Choose accordingly.

A van driver for North Star Transportation, a medical transport company, recently sideswiped my car while  he was talking on his radio (to this office).  While the driver asked if I was hurt, he did not take responsibility for damage to  my car & begged me to not report his driving.   Even worse,  this driver was dishonest & told his boss that my car hit his!  I would not recommend ANY service from North Star Transportation.  This driver was not paying attention to the road.  I can't imagine using this Company to transport me or anyone I cared about.   Any company that does not take responsibility for what a driver does while he's on duty, is not trustworthy.Watch out!

I give 1 star because Yelp won't let me give any lower.I write this review as I am currently suffering from a broken ankle. I rode with this company who constantly fails to pronounce my name correctly. RODNEY MENDOZA! IT'S NOT HARD SON! The company's driver seemed to be in a rush even though he picked me up right on time. He did a very poor job fastening my seatbelts. He put the seatbelts on but didn't bother tightening them. Northwest Transport always checks the tightness AND they ask me if it feels too tight. So going back to the driver who broke my ankle. He took off like he didn't even have a HUMAN in a WHEELCHAIR in the back of his van. I could tell he was going too fast because every bump we drove over made me hop up off my wheelchair. I asked him if he could drive slower over the bumps while we were still in my parking lot. He said okay but I didn't notice any change. Less than 1 mile from my residence I ended up on the floor of his van. To make matters worse, the driver had no clue what to do so rather than call 911, he calls his dispatcher. His dispatcher tells him that another driver from the same company will be coming to assist him in picking me up and getting me back into my chair. So I'm stuck on the floor with my ankle completely twisted, I'm talking a full 180 degrees from normal. I end up waiting for about 20 minutes for the 2nd driver to show up. When the 2nd driver shows up I. I'm in tremendous pain as my quadriceps have been cramping and trying to provide some relief from the pain of being stuck in this very uncomfortable position for so long. The 2 drivers proceed to make matters worse by trying over and over to lift me back into my chair. Each time they lift to up just a little and then they drop me again onto my ankle. This goes on for 15 minutes before they once again call their dispatcher (instead of 911). The dispatcher tells them that they will have better luck if they move the van to a flat surface. Of course the closest flat surface is a few hundred yards or so away. So now they decide to drive down the hill we're on by using the road... WITH ME ON THE FLOOR AND NO WAY TO SECURE ME! They get to someone's driveway and proceed to fail in lifting me up into my chair a couple more times. At this point I've had enough and I tell at them to call 911 since they obviously can't do it. So now I have to wait for 911 to arrive which luckily only takes less than 10 minutes. A firetruck shows up and 2 firemen get out and save the day. (Thank you firemen, all of you, for constantly running towards danger and for saving complete strangers.)
