Comfort Inn Tacoma - Seattle - Closed

We waited over 4 hours after check in time and were given our room; despite this, and despite having to drive 2+ hours in the middle of the night to get to somewhere else with a last minute opening, we were charged for a room *we were told was unavailable and never received.* I tried for almost two weeks to contact the hotel by phone and email and received no response. The worst part is that the lobby was stuffed full of other people waiting to *maybe* get a room that same day, which makes me think this is maybe just a business practice.I strongly recommend avoiding, and I'm disappointed beyond words that the hotel wouldn't even give us the courtesy of a response after charging us for a room we didn't receive.

BED BUGS!!! So then we get to the room. The first thing I do when we get to a hotel is check for bed bugs. So I lift the bedding and the sheets have black dots everywhere but I didnt see any bugs... UNTIL... we lifted the mattress and saw a bug. We took a picture and my husband went downstairs to talk to the staff. The manager comes upstairs ( we were waiting in the hallway) and the first thing she said was "Im not mad at you. You did nothing wrong, but show me" Umm... alright I'll show you but what are you talking about that I did nothing wrong? So I showed her. I kid you not.. she said "Oh! Its a dead one!" And then goes on to explain that this room was "sprayed" FOUR AND A HALF WEEKS AGO! And the house keeper just didn't clean the room thoroughly enough after. So you're telling me that for FOUR AND A HALF weeks you have rented this room and never changed the sheets?! You fumigated this room and NEVER changed the sheets?! The manager just kept putting the blame on housekeeping but YOU are the manager. YOU should have inspected this room before renting it out again. She acted like this whole situation was OK, normal even. Absolutely not! It has been a week since this situation and we STILL have not got the refund they promised us.
