I went in November to purchase 2 bins. Neither bin happened to have a price on it. The person working took 20 min to locate a price. I just walked out because I didnt care. Today I went in again to purchase 2 items. Of course neither had a price. Took over 30 minutes for the same woman to go locate a price. Unreal and so frustrating! If no one bothers to put a price tag on it, please have a faster system in place to have the staff locate the price.

Homegoods, we all know that its really hard to hire people after the pandemic, so keeping bottom of the barrel employees is the least of your worries since you at least have employees, but your employees are the face of your store. Today your employee admitted to a paying customer that theyd rather destroy and create waste out of your inventory rather than make a sale.
In the time it took to walk to the back of the store, your employee said they had already destroyed the item, bent it beyond use, and threw it away. That not even donations wanted it. Now, if youre going to lie, at LEAST make something up thats not awful. Its way more plausible that your employee decided to take the item themselves, which by itself, stories aside, is fine. At least I hope that was what your employee did, and not waste a perfectly good item with a paying customer in the store.
As a large company, you shouldnt engage is such waste, if that is in fact what happened. Its disgraceful and greedy. If thats not what happened, train your employees to make up better stories. Theyre making you look bad.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, Homegoods. That 7 ft pre-lit Christmas tree could have helped a needy family but nah, you bent it up and tossed it in the dumpster. (Which you didnt, but weirdly enough thats the story your unphased, not so creative employee came up with). Gross.
