I am so happy to have booked with Alaskan Car Rental! Onder was the absolute BEST - so much patience AND the best rates for rentals between Seward and Anchorage. I was very nervous about renting from an agency I'd never heard of, but it was the SMARTEST decision I could have made. Exceptional service all the way around!

I have rented from them a few times in the past in their previous locationI and was thrilled to find them in their new convenient location whether you are "hunkered down in Anchorage" or headed either north or south on the highways. They had what I needed in a car during July at a last moment's notice. Unusual! They accommodated me cheerfully when I needed to add "just one more day" toward the end of my trip. The car was what I needed, a reliable sedan, well cared for and clean. As always, the care and respect of the whole team ensures I will only rent from them when I return regularly to my "hometown" of Anchorage. Thank you all. You made my short excursion a very pleasant time.

Working with Alaskan Car Rental from across the country in a different time zone was a breeze. Picking up and dropping off the vehicle was super easy. They are so responsive to all emails and phone calls. They have excellent emergency coverage in most of Alaska if you need them. Fortunately we didn't but it was good to know they were there if we did need them. I absolutely recommend this company to anyone planning a trip to Alaska.

Renter beware. Had to cancel a rental 5 months out due to cancellation of trip. Fine print of their rental agreement is that they keep 20% deposit unless you cancel within 24 hours of making the reservation, NOT 24 hours before pickup. Cancelled a May reservation on Jan 4th and they kept the $245 deposit fee. Was not made clear when reservation made or when follow up phone call placed. Rent anywhere else if there is a chance your plans may change. Update- after receiving an email chastising me for treating a local family business such I went back and read my review. They sound like wonderful people, and their policy is to credit you with the deposit which can be used anytime that year towards another rental. They are correct in requesting support for a family business. That is why I chose them too, as well as the positive reviews. My intent was to alert everyone to the refund policy. So definitely check them out, but if there is any chance at all that your plans may change be forewarned you will receive an 80% refund. I hope this clarifies my review. Nothing in it was a personal attack on a family business. It only focused on a policy that isnt common in the rental car industry.
