Hilton Garden Inn Anchorage

Very unpleasant checkin experience. Mixup in paperwork can happen but that does not mean as a staff member you become rude over to the customer and Insinuate that we are liars. Instead calmly explain the situation, not that hard. Never stayed at one of hilton hotels and honestly after that experience probably will never stay at another.

Location was nice but that's about it. As many others mentioned hole in the ceiling in the shower. They mixed up our rooms. Gave us the wrong room numbers walking in on other people and mentioned that happens a lot. Elevator was dirty. The breakfast buffet was 'free' with a coupon but they charged us a 15% gratuity charge because we knew other people at other tables who were all staying in a different room. I have no problem leaving a tip for service. This is a buffet breakfast and it was so gross. Not to mention we were not a group and no service was provided. Safety: Other guests were given our room key and told it was their room. Hotel staff said this happens more that you would think. Food & drinks: Do not eat the breakfast buffet. I can't explain how unappetizing this was.

Sure wish I knew in advance the place was under renovation in March 2024 before booking. I am sure it will be nice again later. Today avoid at all cost! Everything is a mess! Noise from-jackhammers non stop daily. Image posted is the hole you stick you hand into to press the elevator call button. Now I spend 30-40 nights a year in Hilton Hotels and am a Diamond Level member, never, ever wrote a bad review. This was the worst! Stay away this hotel until you confirm renovation is completed, and elevator is fixed (oh it broke during stay) so many more bad things to list here. PS. Normally I am a Hilton fan, so disappointed.

Had to come here because our room was not ready at the Hampton at 6pm. Hotel under construction (remodeling they said) and its a mess. My room on the third floor had a hole above the shower head that you could see the next floor (4th) through it. Then in the morning some dude just opened the door without knocking and the only tjing that stopped him from coming in was the door lock. If not he would be all the way in. Asked me if i was staying in the room as im in the room. Told him yes and said he didnt know. If you look at the reviews you will see this happens a lot i guess so lock your doors. No pool. My daughter was so sad. Rooms: Dirty. Holes on ceiling. Safety: As i explain people come in room without knocking for no good reason. Too bad there is no way for me to post a video or even a picture
