Wingate by Wyndham Anchorage Downtown/Ship Creek

Door keys won't work properly, ac/ heater unit won't work, no hot water, no room service done properly, no trash pickup and towels exchange because asked twice. Behind counter personnel no positive attitude, no name tags,very low or almost not many choices on breakfast. Cigarettes buts on side doors and main entrance. Not well kept hotel. Old furniture, jacuzzi and shower tub had stains. Very bad hotel.

The Staff is amazing. It was a wonderful experience. The hotel has free breakfast and a indoor pool. Located within walking distance to 49 state Brewery. Ship creek is directly behind the hotel with some some of the best salmon fishing in Alaska. This place is great for couples and families. Highly recommend. I HAD A BLAST! Thank you Wingate staff!!

We were taken aback by the conditions of our room when we checked into the Wingate Wyndham. When we first entered the lobby we were met with a musky smell everywhere we went. There was garbage littered all around the exterior of the hotel. Then when we entered our room we found multiple red stains on the carpet of our room as well as in the bathtub, and on the furniture. The window was cracked and being held together with tape. There were yellow stains on the bedding, and someones hair under the covers. We did not feel safe or comfortable to stay at the hotel at all, we immediately left and checked into another hotel. Even though we did not stay a single night at Wingate by Wyndham, and were only there for 20 minutes, they are refusing to offer a refund while they are advertising much different conditions than what are present. They first told me I needed to contact the travel company we booked through for a refund. When I did that, the travel company reached out for multiple days regarding the refund. When they finally were able to get ahold of someone, they were told by the hotel staff that they would not be issuing a refund. I would recommend sleeping in your vehicle before checking into this hotel. Rooms: Unsanitary, disgusting, and not worth being paid to stay here.

Rooms: Food left under the bed from previous guest, bathrooms not very clean, dial fell off old microwave while it was on. Keurig with empty water reservoir and no instruction on how to detach it. Food & drinks: Waffle maker wasnt working for complimentary breakfast. Stuck with powdered eggs.
