Alaska Native Heritage Center

I am an Alaskan Native. I have PTSD from my Childhood Molestation. I worked there for a few months. They openly looked down upon me. Made fun of me and laughed at me to my face openly, looking at their peers for approval. I stood up myself there, I was fired as my tolerance for being targeted had reached the point of "NO more BULLYING" against me OPENLY!!! They even have a Support Group for Suicide. People who are targeted and openly bullied, singled out by a group of bullies go to groups like this. I am not Suicidal, more like the opposite. If I was Suicidal, how can one open up in a group at this establishment by Natives who prey upon others to bully. Sickening

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and would recommend for anyone visiting Alaska, especially during particularly cold weather.

NOT OPEN! Google says it is, drove all the way out here to find it is closed for renovations. February - May. Facebook showed it open just a few days ago with the gift shop selling items for Valentines Day. Unfortunate as I wont be back to Alaska any time soon. Please update your listing!

Great museum ! Really enjoyed walking through the various native Alaskan shelters. The folks at each shelter were knowledgeable and friendly.
