Cedarwood Apartments

I currently live here. I have never had an issue with anything getting fixed. There is a on site manager, who is awesome. Its a wonderful place to live. I have been here over 2 uears

Landlord refuses to abide by terms of his own contract; will not fix broken plumbing, even plumbing that threatens to flood a basement with hot water while tenants live there, so badly that said flood might ruin the building. Landlord never responds to tenant messages. That is not an exaggeration; zero responses in most of a decade. Landlord insists that tenants are not allowed to use the guest parking that contract says they are allowed to use; is inconsistent on enforcing this illegal policy even then. Attempts to get tenants to park their vehicles in ways that make it difficult or dangerous to safely remove them, if not illegal to park there at all, in order to leave those spaces clear. Good luck dealing with any of these problems without the money for a lawyer, too. The landlord is in clear violation of AS 34.03.100, but legal action is too expensive for the affected. The landlord continues to not respond, and has no supervisor on site, while a joint in the plumbing is now spraying pressurized hot water which will flood and destroy multiple basement apartments if it is not fixed IMMEDIATELY, and the plumbing cannot be fixed without turning off the main. Unfortunately, the boiler room is kept locked by the landlord, so there is literally no way for the tenants to legally stop the problem.

I currently live here. I have no idea why the other people rated it 1 star. Sure, the buildings are old, and lack a ground wire, but the landlord is nice, the neighbors are nice, things that break get fixed... Something tells me someone got evicted for being a bad tenant, and left a bad review as revenge :P

I live here at the time this review was made and ive never had any problems so i dont get why some of the other reviews are only 1 star. thats like saying it cant get worse. the neighborhood is lovely, the people are nice and the landlord is very kind.
