Aurora Moose Cottage

This place is perfect for a small family! The host, Darlene, is so hospitable and had so much advice to give us for our stay in Fairbanks. The home is well stocked with everything you could need. It's very warm and has great views. The aurora cams were great to have access to during our stay. We weren't fortunate enough to catch the aurora, but we were so grateful to have a cozy place to watch and wait. I would definitely stay here again

This was such a wonderful experience for our family. We cant wait to go back! The cottage was exactly what youd hope for. It was cozy and comfortable with all of the amenities. It was very clean and a perfect location to explore the Fairbanks area without staying in town. We stayed very warm with the furnace unit and Amish fire place. It was so comfortable and relaxing. The aurora viewing cameras are a game changer for monitoring and catching the northern lights! Darlene was very helpful in making sure we were comfortable and successful in seeing the auroras! Well definitely be booking another stay.

We breathed a huge sigh of contentment immediately upon entering the front door of this wonderful cabin. Its immaculately clean, abundantly full of all the necessities, and beautiful. The view out the window overlooking the field and pond could relax even the most overstressed (me). The beds are COMFORTABLE! The couch is also amazingly comfortable. Kitchen gadgets and amenities like spices abound, and its even stocked with oatmeal and popcorn and a few other snacks. We spent hours watching for the aurora, but being a bit inexperienced and afraid wed miss it even if it was there we ended up booking a tour based on Darlenes recommendation, and it was GOLD! Lindsay picked us up at the cabin and drove us to the perfect spot. Im certain that if wed known a little better what we were looking at and actually could have kept our eyes open late into the night we would have seen it at the cabin, so next time well be more prepared. Because Im hoping we can do this adventure again, wed love to come back! Highly recommend a stay here - its an easy drive back into town while still being private and not crowded by other homes and buildings. Darlene is super helpful, offering information about things to do in town and an abundance of helpful hints and website information to learn about aurora watching. The aurora cams are great too, you can check those while comfy in bed to see if its time to get dressed and get outside! All in all, we had an amazing time there and highly recommend Aurora Moose Cottage.

My Daughter and I visited Fairbanks for one thing and that was to see the Aurora Borealis(Northern lights) I looked through a few places around Fairbanks to rent for the 5 days we were there. The Aurora Moose Cottage stuck out to me like a sore thumb from the Beautiful pictures and detailed description of the place. Darlene was very responsive and respectful. The fact she was very thankful that we got to see the Aurora, not once but 3 separate times was great. She truly wanted us to see them because for some don't get the chance. We even got to see a Momma (Cow) moose and her baby in the front yard. We definitely recommend this place for the private setting, ease of drive to and from Fairbanks international airport and surrounding areas. We will definitely be back in the future
