The first thing you will notice walking into the lobby is an overpowering smell. None of us could pinpoint what it was but it must be something they clean with because our room smelled strongly of it too. It's not pleasant. But you stop noticing it after awhile unless you go outside and come back in. Luckily it was 40 degrees so we could open our sliding glass door and try to air it out a bit. I was irritated that I had booked a renovated Executive King Suite online on the hotel website and when I arrived I received a Junior Suite. I was not contacted in advance regarding the change. The front desk staff didn't tell me upon check-in that my reservation had been downgraded due to "a glitch" in my booking and a lack of availability. I discovered it when I arrived in my room and then had to call the front desk to inquire. So we didn't get a kitchen in our room or a sitting area, which was disappointing. The price reduction was only $30, which wasn't much considering the lost space where we were planning to spend time with friends who were also guests. The room was just a standard size hotel room with a mini-fridge and microwave (the fridge doesn't really fit into the wall unit and was unstable). Our room was nice enough. The beds were newer (memory foam of some sort, pretty comfortable) and the overall room and bathroom were modern and clean. The bed pillows, however, were extremely thick and uncomfortable. Both of us had sore necks all three nights we stayed. The last night, I couldn't take it anymore and traded in my pillow for a folded towel. Our friends stayed in an unrenovated suite which wasn't too bad. My friend reported the bed was pretty uncomfortable and trampoline like. She did not get much sleep with her husband tossing and turning. We at least had a sitting area in their room, even though the couch and chair are pretty uncomfortable to relax on. The rooms, both renovated and unrenovated, seemed clean at least. We had a car and the location was pretty convenient to the airport and nearby businesses.

The rooms were very clean. Could do better with more basic toiletries. Service was robotic and the staff weren't as courteous as one would expect. Brunch at Zach's was lovely!
