Chase Bank

The manager at this bank who has long dark hair was trying to help with an issue I was having with my mom's safety deposit box. I had proof with me that I am my mom's POA. The manager said to me " it would be easiest if you just brought your mom in with you." I told her " My mom is 88, has Alzheimers, lives in an assisted care home, and spends most of her days lying in bed wearing only a shirt and diaper. " I kid you not, the manager said " It's okay if you just put a gown on her and bring her in like that " I told the manager I was going to call my sister and ask her what she thought of that idea.( I wasn't seriously asking my sister. I just wanted her to hear with her own ears what the manager had said when I told her about my mom's dire situation) when my sister was on speaker I asked her about bringing my mom to the bank. My sister asked "Does the manager know Mom is on hospice?" I said " I told her Mom is in assisted living and spends most of her time in bed in only a shirt and diaper. " my sister said " Taking our mom inside the bank would require an ambulance going to the assosted living house and two paramedics putting her on a stretcher to take her to the ambulance then into the bank." The manager's response to this was "It's fine if she's in a gown. " When my sister was off the phone, I asked the manager " Don't you think the customers in line would be upset to see an old woman being brought here by ambulance and a stretcher because you think that's the easiest thing to do?" I don't know what her answer was . At that moment, I was thinking " Would I get in trouble if I said to this manager what I really want to say?" My sister asked me later if the manager was young and maybe that explained her ignorance. I think this manager is probably in her late 20's or early 30's. I assumed a grown woman would know what the words Alzheimers, assisted living and hospice care mean. Especially since most of the customers there are probably seniors who live in Peoria. My sister and I would really like to speak to an employee who is her supervisor or even whoever owns that bank. We are appalled.

Stay away from this bank teller and bank manager refused to cash my check even though they have done it before claiming company policy. I explained I needed th money for meds and food and they laughed as I got frustrated. Why do something then change it claiming company policy depending on your mood that day? But worst of all how dare you laugh at a 12 year customer frustrated cause they need access to their money for meds and food.
