0 stars for reasons not mentioned but todaybwas just enough with this complex . I lived here for nine years and never seen someone towed . My son came to drop of my grandson and left his car parked in reversed parked for just two minutes and it was towed when he returned downstairs.ok lesson learned but then today he drops him of again and parked in front of my parking spot where my car was parked and then 2 minutes later came down to a towed car. It's already embarrassing that this complex goes to that length to make money but also recieved a " my apologies that this happened however you know where the tow place is from last time so you can go get "

I have contemplated leaving a review and decided to leave one in hopes that it will help someone, it's long but do yourself a favor and read it! We moved out almost two months ago after living there for MANY years and it was the best decision. Chamberlin & Associates bought the complex in December 2021 and since then the complex has gone downhill. In January 2022 there was a HUGE rent increase for everyone and all the loyal tenants who had lived there for 5+ years started moving out, and they started letting ANYONE move in to fill the vacancies. -The front office staff was non-existent. In the short two years since they took over, there were at least 7 office managers, so you could never rely on anyone to do their job or remember what you talked to them about, (thank goodness for keeping track in a notebook and sending emails for a paper trail). - Their corporate office will never own up to anything they do wrong and is very unprofessional. - The amount of trash, animal feces, and other random things around the property and on balconies is awful. Take a stroll around the property (on either side and you'll see what I mean). - You will get towed if you back in ( and have a nice car), which was never a thing until Chamberlin bought the property ( yep, even on the pear side small guest lot where there are NO signs). However, expired tags and cars w/o tires that look abandoned and are parked "correctly" won't ever get towed. - The pools were closed for being green more times than we could count ( especially during the summer and holidays) or closed due to inconsiderate people leaving trash or broken beer bottles everywhere. When it is open throughout the year, don't expect the hot tub to ever work! They are always "needing a part". - They came in to replace the toilets one day and without telling you, put faucet aerators on to be "more cost efficient" ( you pay a flat rate of water each month regardless). We could barely wash our hands and no water came out of the showers. How embarrassing for your guests to take a shower. Hotels have better water flow! - Their "state of the art" fitness center is a joke. A small wall unit A/C that wouldn't work and their 3 machines hardly work. (Go look at other complexes that advertise their fitness center and you will see what I mean). - The balcony on the 2nd floor is wood and breaks apart very fast. It was so unsafe for us to even step on it. - The "remodeled units" look nice. But, all they do is paint the cabinets and counters white and put vinyl on the floor. - It is not a quiet community, on either side. We know people on the lemon side who have loud neighbors ( as did we). - The car wash (on the pear side) is LOUD AT ALL TIMES OF THE DAY. They don't regulate the loud music even though their signs say no loud music. Oh, and you can guarantee the trash truck for the car wash at 4-5 a.m. will wake you up! - Parking/ crossing on Javelina ( if you live on the pear side) is so unsafe as cars drive extremely fast all the time. *I will add, that these apartments were once nice because of the layout, a huge walk-in pantry, good location, we once had great neighbors, and office and maintenance staff that cared ( if you look back the 4/5 stars is when they were all there YEARS AGO). Jacqueline the leasing manager has been there probably the longest since Chamberlin took over, and I think she's trying to do her best in a hectic environment. Moving out was easy and to our surprise, we got our whole $150 deposit back ( shows how long ago we moved in) as we took great care of the unit. I wouldn't waste my time writing this if it wasn't the truth and I wanted to save someone the hassle of being fooled by a tour, concessions, or some pictures.
