While the RV park itself may be ok, the sites are very cramped, and not big rig friendly. Customer service is really poor. We got an email saying our stay was confirmed, but with no other information (E.g., no site number). When we arrived, as scheduled, early on a Sunday afternoon, the gate was closed, there was no signage (office is not at the front of the park), the office was closed, and they did not answer the phone, so we had no idea of where our site was, what the codes were to get into the park, or where things like garbage were. They had not even turned on power to the site where we finally pulled into. This was a bad experience. I submitted feedback to them, and they apparently have chosen not to respond.

We did a full review of our thoughts in Mesa Sunset Rv Resort on YouTube. Here are our thoughts as full time RV travelers. Pros: heated pool and hot tub, large clubhouse, most the neighbors are friendly, all ages, store across the street (but also a con because of traffic), it's gated Cons: between 2 VERY busy and NOISY roads, would not recommend if you're a light sleepers we didn't sleep well for 3 months. Would not turn up pool by 2 degrees, even though others in the park did not seem to use the pool and we were in it every day. The hot tub had green dye in it at 1 point that dyed my swimsuit and our nails, after that was eventually dealt with and it was out of commission for 3 weeks, it did not seem to be cleaned. There was always loose sand (quite a bit) in the bottom and eventually got so dingy that we stopped using it. It does not cater to travelers, so don't expect daily activities. They do host a weekly after school type program for the kids and a fee other activities here and there, but it's mostly a full time resident park. The dog park is at the very end of the park and usually full of poo. Residents at the front of the park often take their dogs to do their business near the clubhouse in the traveled area where kids play (but at least they usually cleaned it up). They are butted up against a VERY popular and lively bowling alley. There were fights nearly every weekend around 1am and lots of car racing that went on around that time. They have RATS. We have never had a mouse or rat problem before or after there, but we got rats that took us a month to get rid of which cost us $100 in supplies, plus it ruined about $100 worth of our stuff. We were not the only one with rats, multiple other guests said they had RATS as well. When we asked the manager why there weren't bait boxes out to try and rid the park of the rats, we were told that that's not something they would do. I think this park has a management issue, mostly. We felt as though we were really inconveniencing her whenever we had to pick up our mail or asked a question. The park rules (which were included in the ridiculously long rental agreement) did not seem to be enforced. I think if you're looking for a permanent residence, don't mind noise or rats that this could be a great option. There aren't a lot of all ages options around. Search Youtube: RVTravelEnvy for our full review https://youtu.be/eCsvz6-3qt8?si=XEwS0RMR_ZsCBGRG We won't stay again, mostly because of the noise, but also because of the other issues we had while there.

Dawn, first of all, thank you for your feedback regarding your seasonal stay with us. We are sorry that you had some less-than-ideal experiences during your extended visit but we intend to use your review as an opportunity to address these areas of concern. As you pointed out with the pool, finding the perfect temperature for everyone can be a daunting task but after some internal discussion, we have begun setting the pool heater at 86 degrees during the cooler fall and winter months. Concerning the spa, we did indeed have an issue during your stay that took longer than expected to get repaired but our hope is that fixes will happen much quicker now that we have a reputable repair person in place. We also have a new on-site maintenance person who has been extremely helpful in keeping the dog park clean as well as some residents who have pitched in since it is never never-ending job cleaning up after our furry friends. Regarding the rats, we are currently assessing how broad-reaching the issue is. Based on those findings will work on a schedule with an exterminator for doing mitigation throughout the park should it be warranted. We are also reinforcing with our office staff the importance of always putting residents and guests first, whether it is helping with mail, answering questions, or other interactions. We certainly do not want valued members of our community to feel as though their needs, questions, or concerns aren't getting the level of attention they deserve. Finally, in an ideal world, we would do away with the noise from traffic and area businesses but since that is not realistic, the most we can do is work on making all of the other aspects of our community as pleasant and welcoming as possible! As such, we would welcome the opportunity to have you stop by the next time you are in the area so we can share some of the tweaks that have been made since your previous stay.
