I met some friends here for a pool day so I cant comment on the rooms. The ambiance of the lobby is really cool- lots of plants and open space. Its a great tropical vibe. The pool is big and there are a lot of outdoor areas to hang out and enjoy the Arizona weather. Nearby activities: Its located in downtown Scottsdale theres theres a lot to do in a small area- shopping, movies, all different kinds of restaurants.

Booked my first night of my trip to the Scott Resort. The lobby itself was beautiful. Its like you are stepping into a vacation. The atmosphere is calming. The colors are neutral. The hotel room itself is tastefully updated. You can tell that they did their best with what they could do. It was probably some older hotel that was a little run down that they renovated. You can tell with the decor in the room they were trying to make up for that older building feel. The property as a whole was beautiful!

Cute but cute is not reason enough to justify the cost. This is my third time staying here and the worst of my stays. Booked a room with a lagoon view and there was just gravel and a few bushes outside my room, no view. Had to drag my bags through a long walk with puddles and steps to get to my room. The morning of check out I had a housekeeping person knock and try to come into my room around 9 am even though I had the tag on my door. It happened AGAIN around 10:30 am while I was getting ready to check out. Customer service is very underwhelming to say the least, its a nice plate for photos but I cant think of any other pros sadly.

While the hotel is beautiful, there are some SERIOUS security concerns. French doors on outside doors are not appropriate. Even more so when the property is not secured by a gate or onsite security patrol. A women staying alone, put in a ground floor parking lot facing back of the property room is NOT safe. There is no elevator for second room floors and even each wing accessed by french doors presents a security concerns; a good push or pull on these doors renders them useless. My room had exposed electrical IN THE SHOWER and the TV was broken. It would come on, but was so dark, you could not read the guide or watch any TV; only noise. The bar is beautiful, but the staff was beyond slow and in fact staff not doing anything actually distracted and interfered by socializing and standing in the path of the bartender with staff helping patrons. On two different nights it took over 25 minutes to get 2 drinks. The second night it was over 30 minutes from the waitress and I had to personally grab them from the bar since they were sitting in the service well with our waitress no where in sight. The property itself is beautiful and in a phenomenal location, but these concerns are too great to allow me to book it again, or recommend anyone stay here. Rooms: The rooms are beautiful with some nice touches. I appreciate the effort to remove all ambient light. The bathroom is slightly awkward but nice and the room has more space than most with a lovely desk and sitting area. Safety: This is a huge miss. Not a secured property and french doors easily accessible on ground floor rooms and the corridors to rooms on second floor mean this property should be avoided for solo travelers; especially women. Securing the property with higher walls and gated parking would go a long way. Alternatively, more overnight security should be provided. Food & drinks: Rooms are well stocked for enjoyment which is good because getting a drink from the bar will cost you at least 20 minutes and sound better than they taste.
