Overlook at Pantano Apartments

Place took 2 months to get back to me after taking my money and now wont get back to me about refunding my holding deposit. Ive called Ive emailed, Ive left voicemails; nobody has any urgency to help me. I signed a lease elsewhere because they took SOOO long to get back to me about the unit I applied for. Still havent heard back about how they are going to handle refunding my deposit. Have heard similar stories about this place from others.. glad I didnt sign a lease here.

I've had the best experience here at the Overlook at Pantano. Though it is a community, I have to be patient with work orders, trash pic up, dumpster cleanliness, and most of all, proper working laundry machines and appliances in my apartment. I see the maintenance TEAM working hard all around the complex till late hours in the evening, as well as early hours in the morning. It all does get worked on, and at the end of the day, I am satisfied. As far as roaches. I have none. I keep my apartment very clean, and I get it sprayed regularly. Thank you to the "Overlook at Pantano" office, maintenance, and management members.

Ive tried my best to like this place. Management staff does what they can, but nowhere near enough money has been invested in upkeep over the years. Downspouts are missing, foundations taking on water from poor drainage, the plumbing is atrocious, and the HVAC systems are disgustingly inefficient and poorly designed/assembled. My bathroom has an unbearable knocking sound anytime my AC runs. To make matters worse, theyve slapped a nice coat of paint over such a mess and charge rent like its better than it is. The laundry room machines only work using an app, and the app cant recognize half the machines most of the time. It was poorly built in the 80s, and even by the standards of that time its just so bad. Theres mold in almost every apartment, many balconies are structurally compromised, and Ive lost count of the number of plumbing problems over just the few months Ive been here. I had to take legal action just to get them to repair my balcony that was near collapse and fix my water heater that didnt function. Their maintenance emergency line is just a voicemail box, so I you hope you know how to make do without their help after 5. I currently have no water and have no idea when itll work again.
