My Place Hotel-Tucson South, AZ

Decided to take a mini road trip and stayed here for a weekend. Nice comfortable room, rested well. Rooms have kitchenette, full size fridge, cooktop, microwave. Bring a couple of pans and dinnerware if you plan to cook, otherwise can be purchased in the lobby. Location is great, near just about anything essential. Nice walking and riding trails nearby. Great views.

Very clean room, well stocked (lots of towels and pillows, had a toaster, coffeemaker, microwave, range, fridge, dish soap, etc etc). The staff were very friendly, the whole place seems clean and well kept, breakfast delivered to the room is a very reasonable $7.49 and includes an entree, side, and beverage. Internet - wired and wireless - was available. Very impressed. Absolutely cant be beat for this price.

I cant give enough praise to My Place in Tucson. First of all, the rooms were incredibly clean and so comfortable, and the customer service was probably the best Id ever received at a hotel, and I travel often. They were very generous with the towels, and the ability to keep our familys dogs in the rooms was such a relief. After my first night, I called all of my other family members, and they also booked rooms at My Place. They also were very impressed with their rooms. The ADA room for my elderly family members was perfect as the beds were low, and they had multiple accommodations for people with disabilities throughout, including in the bathroom and on the windows. We had two dogs traveling with us, and the proximity to a beautiful trail just across the parking lot was perfect for taking them out. This place is also super close to shopping centers, and was within walking distance from Sprouts (My favorite store.) The rooms were equipped with an in-suite kitchenette and full sized refrigerator. There were also multiple grills down in a community outdoor area with tables and benches, in addition to an indoor seating area with tables and chairs. This made it so easy to prepare and eat our meals together. We were all visiting from out of town to sit at my uncles bedside while he was in the ICU on life support. It was such an overwhelming time for my family that was also in town visiting. I checked in on March 1st, and had planned on checking out on the 3rd, but my uncle was hanging on so I postponed my trip back and kept extending my stay at My Place. The staff at My Place was so compassionate for my situation, and I could feel that they really cared about the tough time we were all going through. The manager on duty, Major with his warm personality made our stay excellent. My uncle passed away on the morning of Tuesday, March 5th, and that was the day I checked out. I kind of broke down at check out, and they whipped out a box of kleenex. Like I said, having the clean and comfortable rooms should always be expected, and My Place delivered on that 1000%, but I was so pleasantly surprised that all of the staff was so wonderful. Thank you!!! I would stay at My Place in South Tucson again, for sure. You guys made my familys stay so great. Safety: I felt very safe in this location. Walkability: There is a trail entrance on the other side of the parking lot to take your dogs or enjoy the outdoors. We saw road runners when we went out!! There is also a shopping center and restaurants in the adjacent lot. Food & drinks: Lots of restaurants and grocery stores near by.

encountered the rudest, nastiest personnel of any motel that we have ever stayed. We were promised housekeeping services every 4 days . Our room was somewhat cleaned 3 times in the 28 days we were here. And that only happened after we had reminded them. Absolutly poor service by unprofessional employees. Also, theteare several aperently homeless people wondering about. Not the safest place to stay. Rooms: If expecting to stay more the 2 - 3 days don't expect your room to be cleaned or enough coffee, toilet paper, towels, or soap, etc. for your stay. Safety: There are homeless people camping under the bridge about 100 yards away Walkability: Travel at your own risk!

We were here at 315 our room was not ready an hour past.check in still not ready, the rooms are very small and extremely uncomfortable. The beds were awful the only upside to this place was the gentlemen at the front desk. Rooms: Small a step above days in Nearby activities: Close to food Walkability: Walk atyour own risk
