Was the best experience ever !! Frank the gentlemen at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay an absolute amazing experience !! They are very dog friendly even had 2 behind the desk !! If you want to be treated like royalty I highly recommend this hotel !!!
Rooms: Very clean !!!
Nearby activities: Lots to do close to downtown
Safety: Felt very safe !!!
Food & drinks: The breakfast was very appetizing!! Clean and organized !!!

I had a really weird phone call. I called late to make sure the front desk was open 24 hours. The person that answered paused for a long time and then said "well we have to be so we are here for you" and I was embarrassed and cheerfully said "I guess that makes sense you are at the airport" I then asked about availability and they paused and then actually huffed (I think) and said very numbly "let me look" and then I heard typing. All good. Then they say "it's gonna be $147 so"
All fine. But so weird of an interaction. We went somewhere else after we called and asked the same questions and they didn't make me feel so silly and poor. It was a motel 6 that was nice. Lol
Called and asked about front desk. They cheerfully said yes. I asked about availability they cheerfully said yes and told me the price after tax and I said thank you and see them soon. That felt...normal.
I get people are in a bad mood some nights, but it was just odd. If you can get a recording of the call from tonight that would be nice. The owner replies kind of scare me honestly afraid to leave this review...
Edit: that reply was weird? I was talking about how odd the interaction was...not the pricing? I didn't mind that it was expensive. I understood that.
The issue was how odd the call was.
To clarify:
The call was answered...numbly/rudely some would say...
My first question, was answered with a long pause and rudely
Then the long pauses (possible huff) after asking about availability and pricing was odd.
Then the whole "well it's $150 sooooo..." thing was odd.
(When there was no indication that I'd have issues with pricing...)
I had to ask if they had availability again as that only half answered me. Did they have rooms now? Was there options? Was she telling me I couldn't afford them? Or was the point they were making that it wasn't worth it for the price? I was confused with how much attitude was going on.
It sounded as if they were done with me after I asked the first question about the front desk being 24 hours.
Maybe the owner's reply is talking about how I asked if they had any discounts while half joking because I felt so awkward afterwards.
But this was AFTER the whole interaction + the way I was told the pricing when I asked for availability.
I thought maybe I should be asking considering HOW they mentioned the price for the night.
Maybe that is what the owner's reply is reaching at? My silly discount question and then quickly saying I understood when they said no? Lol I literally said "should I be asking for any discounts or look for any?" To which they quickly said "no" That was a-ok I said.
At no point was I rude. I said I understood cheerfully and said I'd see them soon after all that even as I didn't think I had a choice.
BUT just in case, I found a motel 6 nearby, and they were NORMAL and so kind over the same questions so I realized it wasn't me... so I found my way there instead. Haha
I rather have had the nice amenities if even for 5-6 hours waiting for my next flight, but this was just weird and it looks like I was right. The reply too...just all so odd. In my opinion.
