Capital Hotel

Stopped in for lunch. The food and service both were excellent. Would absolutely eat here again and recommend to anyone.

Amazing hotel, it's like staying at a time capsule. Great staff, clean rooms, and beautiful common areas.

I don't see how one can justify spending upwards of $500 (including taxes, fees, and parking) for a Sunday night at a place like this. First of all, the place is under heavy construction so all the nice photos you see on the website are not representative of the actual experience. You probably are thinking about booking this place because you wanted a classy evening in a historic hotel. However, It does not feel like a historic hotel when you enter, just a giant tarp. The staff tells me it's been like that for months. I understand the hotel owned by stephens financial and so you are paying big bucks to subsidize their corporate housing. For $500 you can also have the pleasure of living through, and helping pay for a renovation so that one of the execs daughters can get married there in the fall! The rooms are decent and big, and for only $500 you can have one like ours that overlooks an ugly rooftop! The front desk seems disorganized and gave me attitude when I called to ask about first aid that they had sent to the wrong room. They told me i gave the wrong room number (doesn't it tell them which room is calling?). I will say the one bright spot is the Valet/Bell desk. They truly are spectacular and went way above and beyond and were extremely helpful at every turn, even helping push my dad in his wheelchair to the restaurant around the corner, and running to our car to grab a sweater out of the trunk since it was a bit chilly out. Everybody at the valet desk that we met (4 of them total) were incredible! Thank you to Billy and your team!
