Slim Chickens

Today is April 9, 2024. We decided to pick up something quick to eat after on Chenal Parkway, so we decided to give Slim Chickens another chance since we had a unique experience with our first time of us getting someone elses order and had to drive 10 mile back to get what we had ordered originally. This was our 2nd time we coming here for food. They did get our order correct this time, however we ordered sweet tea with no ice, we got water flavored sweet tea that tasted more like water. This was about 3:55 PM, so the lunch crowd was long gone back to work. Surely the employees shouldve tasted their beverages before dispensing them for consumption and being paid. The tea was weak. I recommend the employees should pay attention to make sure the sweet tea is both sweet and tea.

Their dining room is always closed earlier than their posted hours and the drive thru takes FOREVER. I just waited at 10pm for over 20 minutes for chicken fingers with 1 car ahead of me. The only redeeming quality here is that the food is good.

Fries were okay but soggy. The chicken tenders were extremely small for the price and the bread tasted like grease. Cane's and Chick-Fil-A would be better options. Convenience is the only reason we stopped here.

Good food although the size of the chicken tenders can be quite variable. Service can be slow and the dining lobby is often not as clean as it could be. Food makes up for everything else

After a Costco trip, I went through the drive-thru to get fried okra. I needed to replace the memory of a bad batch at Slim Chickens in Cabot on Sunday. 1 of the drive-thru lanes was shutdown; so, I used the other one. When I pulled up to order, the girl in the drive-thru told me that I needed to park & come inside to place my order. The guy at the register had no idea what was going on, but I wasn't the only one who was told to come inside. While waiting for my order, I saw a guy pull up to the drive-thru window because no one answered him when he tried to order. The girl never came to the window. Anyway, the register guy was amazing...friendly, apolgetic, & gave me a discount for my trouble. On top of that, he made sure that the order was hot & had a bit extra in the box because it took a long time for it to be ready...people before & after me got their full orders while I stood their waiting, & the register guy had to check on the status of my okra order a couple times. He is the only reason I awarded the location 4 stars. I don't know what was going on in the back that day, but it was communicated with him, & he did his best to make up for it. I greatly appreciated his effort to compensate for the inconvenience of having to ditch the drive-thru to place my order inside & for waiting longer than what was necessary to receive my order of fried okra.
