Hello Im a U.S. veteran who has been diagnosed with Miniers disease by my ENT at Sacramento Ear Nose and throat. Among other symptoms of this disease,Ive experienced major vertigo issues, headaches, rapid eye movements and been bedridden for days on end. My ENT has put me on different Medications, Ive had steroid shots inserted under my ear drum, and now have been recommend surgery to help alleviate symptoms. I had the unfortunate experience of having to visit Nasim Seisan for a hearing test for VA. With a quick light in my ear and a 5 minute hearing test. She said all my ENTs and doctors were wrong. I didnt have Miniers disease at all. According to this audiologist and her 5 min hearing test, all I had were ear infections, I guess 12 years of ear infections then. She also stated the hearing loss I have due to miniers disease would miraculously return. I thought I was being punked or on candid camera. Hearing loss in my left ear is one of the symptoms of the disease I endure in my left ear along with tinnitus and I have been dealing with them for over a decade.This negligible care was so disappointing because I wasnt even there for a diagnosis and was completely taken back by this persons attempt to minimize the anguish I have gone through dealing with this disease. She totally disregarded all the efforts and Testing my primary care physicians and ENTs have completed to find out what is wrong with me. Instead she relied on her 5 minute hearing test and ear light and told me she knew better all I had were ear infections and thats what she is putting in my VA report. I would not recommend her to anyone for fear you may also be misdiagnosed as well.
