We are currently working with Carrillos Gardening Services, and so far we have had a very poor experience. They came in with a fair price to maintain our lawn, and have been coming every week for the last 6 weeks. Recently, our grass has been completely dying. I asked them why our grass is dying when we are paying them to maintain it every week, and they said that it is because the grass is not getting enough sun, and now the trees need to be trimmed. I said how is this just coming up now, and why hasn't this been mentioned for the last 6 weeks? They didn't have a response, but had no problem telling us that it would be $1,900 to trim these two trees. Overall, it has seemed odd to me that our grass is now dying, and they are now upselling us another service for $1,900. On top of that, they said we need to have the entire lawn re-seeded after the trees are trimmed, which is another $150 for them as a separate charge. I am not sure where all these separate charges are coming from when we simply are asking them to just maintain our lawn. When I spoke with Jackie about the re-seeding directly, she told me a price of $100 for the re-seeding, then realized she said $150 in the text, and instead of honoring the price she gave me over the phone, she changed the price back to $150. It seems these prices are fairly arbitrary and have no fixed basis, and at the end of the day, our grass that we are paying them to maintain is completely dying. So now we have to find another company to trim our trees because their price is just too high for us, then work with Carrillos services again to re-seed our lawn, and this is on top of the maintenance that they are already doing? Again, so far this has been a very poor experience, but we will continue to monitor their progress and update this review. Services: Lawn mowing & maintenance, Yard work, Mulching

Armando does shoddy work. Installed new valves that caused sprinklers to leak continuously. Broke pipes leading to the valves and improperly replaced them causing more leaks. Refused to repair hIs work unless I paid him more. As for reseeding, this is what I got

We highly recommend working with Armando and his crew! They went above and beyond to remove the top layer of soil and install sod/seed throughout. We so excited for our kids to be able to play in the beautiful, debris-free yard!
Our yard had patchy grass and a lot of debris in the soil - glass, bottle caps, random pieces of metal. We got quotes from 6 companies, and Armando stood out from the rest with his thoughtfulness and responsiveness. He was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations for the project overall. The price was also very competitive.
Armando's crew showed up, was very professional, and went the extra mile - even helping make sure that a hedge we had planted had the soil properly set. Services: Grass seeding, Sod installation

Great service! They did an A+ job at repairing my sprinklers recently. We also use Carrillos for gardening services and they do an excellent job. Very happy with Armando and team.
