The 4 weeks of training was super worth it everything that the instructors jesse Ishmael Charles and rob taught me was crucial in aiding me to get my class A license. The instructors are very thorough with how they teach and flexible with students who are struggling they will give extra attention to those who need it while still aiding the rest of the class. Everything that was taught from the pre trip, air brake test, skills and drive practices were all present during my actual DMV exam so it was a good feeling being more than prepared. No corner was left unchecked with the training i feel. The permit test instructor Bob was super thorough with how he taught the class. He made things very easy to remember so for the permit exam once again it was super nice to have all of my bases covered. I was super pleased with everything from the instructors, to the people at the front desk being very nice and helpful, to the administrator Mike who is very clear and helpful with how he communicates. Overall I felt really pleased about my time here and if I had to go to a trucking school again I would choose western pacific school 10 times out of 10.

My experience started off well, I stayed up with the class and got my permit and quickly learned to drive. I loved it, problem was when you come in using a state voucher to be retrained, there is noone for them to be accountable to. They have so many students waiting to drive, they have to keep up their process to get you in and get you out, regardless how many times you tell them you need to work on your skills and not ready. I would have paid extra for an extra Saturday to have the instructor all morning guide me on skills. They do offer Saturday for extra help, but there is like 20 other students waiting to practice on 2 trucks in a 4 hour window like anyother day. My brother just got his Class A from a different school in Modesto and there were about 8 other students all saying the same thing of Western Pacific. They get paid and want to rush you right out whether you are ready or not. I didn't want to complain and felt burned this whole time, wasn't until my brother discovered so many other students that had the same issue happen to them. Yes, there are tons of students in their pics smiling and all happy that we got certificates that we finished the hours, but that doesn't reflect how many they send to DMV and are not ready. They have such a steady flow that they have to make you go regardless. Then when you don't pass, instead of having you come more, they stop you until right before your next DMV test and allow you to practice the Saturday before and the morning of IF there is time and a truck. Please do your research and find a different trainer, they make tooo much money off each student to not ensure their success.

Oh, Anthoni this is disappointing to read. Especially coming from a county employee that is supposed to remain unbiased. Very unfortunate that you have broken your ethical code of conduct. A shame. There are always two sides to every story. We were hoping you wouldn't try and go down this road, but we took notes just in case.Let’s dive in shall we!First off you joined our program in early 2021, the company has been through lots of changes and improvements since. After reading though your file it appears as though you were having trouble learning/comprehending because you were "stressed out over covid" and you let all your classmates know about it. We immediately start accommodating your every need including extra training time at no cost to yourself. Even when you were unreachable, we contacted your counselor to schedule more time and they couldn't reach you either, but we continued to work with you. Once it was time to test at the DMV you no-showed leaving our truck and instructor at the DMV wondering, where is Anthoni?!? After the appointment was missed, then we hear from you stating you didn't feel comfortable testing. No communication. So of course, we are happy to accommodate you again and schedule you more training. But our work hours from 6am-8pm didn't fit your schedule. You said you were too tired. You requested that our instructors work on their days off so that you could rest. We go through all the hoops and mind games only for you to cancel your DMV appointment again. Since you wanted to bring up "other people" to put things into perspective all your classmates passed and got their CDL. It's truly a shame that you wait 3+ years to snake in a foul review full of lies. A cheap trick.
