I've taken friends to play at the Hunting Lodge and Lost Kingdom in Hayward before, and we had a great time. Looking forward to the new theme!

Title: Disappointing Experience at Pixel World Escape Room Rating: (1 out of 5 stars) Review: My friends and I recently visited Pixel World Escape Room with high hopes for an exciting adventure. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. Numerous elements of the room were malfunctioning, from the doors to the supposed AI system. Clues were disjointed and failed to connect logically, making it nearly impossible to progress. Tables that were meant to reveal secrets remained stubbornly shut, requiring constant staff intervention to pry them open. Speaking of staff, their excessive involvement throughout the game severely detracted from the experience. Instead of feeling immersed in the challenge, we felt constantly interrupted and frustrated by their frequent interventions. Overall, our visit to Pixel World Escape Room was a major letdown. I cannot in good conscience recommend it to others. Save your time and money for an escape room experience elsewhere.

We played the room Alone, and we did not have a good time. To give some context, Ive done over 50 rooms, and have enjoyed most of them (even some that are less enjoyed by others). This is one of the worst experiences Ive had at an escape room, and this INCLUDES the gen 1 escape rooms where it was basically disassembling IKEA furniture. This place charges the same price as other premium escape rooms, without the premium benefits that other locations provide. Main gripes: - Malfunctioning equipment. - A single employee who was clearly tending to another group simultaneously (he was dressed up in some weird costume when he was repairing our equipment). - We were at times just completely without assistance because no one was answering the walkie talkie. I think whoever created the room initially definitely put some love into it, and it has potential, but it has not been maintained and it is not being managed well. Selling an experience like this is downright DISRESPECTFUL. Save your money and go to well, literally anywhere else.
