Rodeway Inn Sacramento Central - University Area

First off, no pets allowed!!?? Shame on you!! People need their pets and pets need their people!! While checking in the girl tells us that the t. v. 's aren't working and that it may be a couple hours.. that's really fine cuz I don't watch very much television. However, they should have lowered the price I think.. and then I called for a late checkout and the latest she could give was till 11:30!! WHAT!!?!??? Every other place we stay they say noon. And I heard the employee next to her tell a customer that he has to check out tomorrow because they are all booked up!!! LIAR!! They didn't say that to me and they are NEVER booked up!! WOW!!. I'll probably not go back there. The room wasn't that clean either. Just saying. Not happy especially because they charge so much. I'll say, the only good thing I'll say is that the deposit is only $50 and can pay cash. Okay that's all I have to say.

Don't waste your money, it is better spent at a different hotel chain just around the corner for only $10 more. My family has stayed at this Rodeway, 2+ weeks every month for the last 3 months. It has declined with each stay. The place is on the governors list to be turned into homeless housing, and that's what it basically has become. It is a cesspool of drugs, theft, and drama. The front office staff and maintenance people are amazing, however the whole hotel is filthy, inside and out. People standing outside rooms, slumped over or smoking drugs. They let homeless roam the halls and dig thru the trash. In a 12 hour period,not only was I harassed so bad by someone roaming, that I had to call my husband to come down and walk me back to the room, someone also came up begging me to let them stay in my room,rent a room for them, give them a ride. The General Manager will rent a room to anyone who has cash. My car was hit in the parking lot and he refused to look at the cameras and instead raised his voice yelling at me asking what I wanted him to do about it. The major chain around the corner is clean, secure and safe. Worth it for just a little bit more per night.

Right off the freeway so getting out can be awkward buuuut the room was clean, the price was cheap and the coffee hot. Second time staying here, staff are kind and it is clean. No bad smells or gross things in my room, no partying neighbors, basically 9/10 for price
