Hello, we are sorry that you did not enjoy your experience with us. Our nail technician was not giving you an attitude nor upset that you declined the gel polish, as that does not matter as long as our clients are happy with the results. In this case, you were not. However, before the polish was even finished, you kept pulling away to inspect, and the technician feared that it would mess up. The polish wasn’t rushed, we shouldn’t be penalized for being effective at our task. Nail polish varies depending on the brand and color, and the formula affects how the polish consistency will come out whether its runny or thick is depends on the manufacture and has nothing to do with us. When we apply the top coat and finish with the service, the polish will then come out as desired. The prices of our gel polish is as listed and cannot be compared to prices in other parts of the country, it can only be compared to price in the area which is $15. When you buy a bottle of wine in a restaurant, the prices are higher then when you buy at a grocery so you cant just say because it cost $8, were overcharged because our prices reflect our ability to keep our business operating. A regular manicure is $15. A full set of acrylic is $45+. An acrylic set does not include a manicure, that trend is common on instagram/private nails technician but not common in salons. Your friend did an acrylic overlay on their natural nails hence it appears thicker and the shape cannot be compared to your hands which has tips on. A manicure is not included unless it’s requested. If the stains were a concerned, your friend could request a manicure to clean up the stains but since it was an overlay, it only includes putting acrylic over the natural nails and filing it. You don’t necessarily need a manicure, when doing a full set unless there a large amount of cuticle (which would be recommended) or when a client wants one because we prep the nails before applying the acrylic to ensure that it will last our client.
