image Lived here for 1.5 years, the location is great and the apartment has a lot of character with big windows, and vintage charm. Unfortunately that charm wears off quickly one you realize the walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors talk, cough, and make other various noises. I lived in an upstairs unit and I could hear everything from my downstairs neighbor EVERYDAY for 1.5 years. The washing machines are extremely loud if you live next to them, stairs are old and shake the entire apartment when neighbors use them, and the big beautiful window in the living room is single pane glass (poorly insulated) and rattled all the time. Not to mention since I was upstairs the insulation from the roof was very poor and in the summer my apartment was ALWAYS hot, of course I could use the single wall air conditioner from 1980 but that barely did anything. The building end (near my parking space) was always covered with old appliances, sinks, refrigerators, and washing machines for months on end, the homeless people on the street used that junkyard area as their own personal garbage dump and that area got progressively worse and worse with trash, appliances mattresses and junk. Homeless people were constantly digging through the trash at all hours of the night, and even a specific tenant would join in and dig through trash everyday. I could count at least 4-5 times when I encountered a homeless person sleeping in my parking space. Id find needles, urine and a lot of trash near my parking space and it made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. Bottom line the location is great, the apartment is old and you'd expect to deal with some issues with that, but for the price you pay even the most basic needs of privacy and comfort aren't met. The lack of locked gated entrances made the complex very accessible to anyone at any hour of the day/night and made it feel very unsafe. Either renovate the building or sell it to Google because Alameda Gardens is ripping tenants off and giving them the bare minimum in return.

image Nice place to live.
Yes, there are homeless in the streets along our street but it’s like that everywhere. Yes, at times it does get noisy but that is everywhere also.
Most of the time it’s a quiet place to live. My neighbors are friendly and quiet. It’s a great location, walking distance to grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants and coffee bars. There is even a Farmers Market close by on Saturdays.

image The worst manager. She is so rude and does’t answer phone calls or emails. Before she had all my document, she checked my credit score. I was qualified but she gave the apartment to another person. She said because I was third person. So, then why you checked my credit score and decreased it. Anyway, stay away from this aparment
