image Update:
Well, it is not safe inside; they entered my apartment and threw everything away. The management team said the cleaning team thought the lease had ended and emptied the apartment.
AND THIS HAPPENED TWICE.
The first time it happened, I called the police, informed the front desk guy, general manager, and everyone I could contact. I lost some of my stuff.
And one week later, it happened again. THEY THREW EVERYTHING AWAY.
Then I actively contacted Miro, through emails and phone calls, even visiting them. But all I received were assurances that they would handle this, with no actual actions taken.
I have lived in many apartments, and this is absolutely the most absurd thing that has happened.
Original:
Having lived at Miro for the past 9 months, I can say that the experience here is exceptional, from outstanding customer service to luxurious amenities.
I want to shout out to the staff, particularly Shaun and Kiarra. From the moment I moved in, Shaun's helpfulness and enthusiasm about his job were evident, including remembering residents' names, which made me feel welcomed and valued as a resident. Kiarra, another team member, is highly responsive, ensuring that all queries and concerns are addressed promptly.
Safety was a major concern for me when choosing a place to live, and Miro excels in this aspect. The feeling of security in downtown San Jose is impeccable.
Maintenance efficiency is another great aspect of Miro. Every work order I've submitted has been completed within two days.
Also, The facilities at Miro, including the cinema, sunset views, artistic gallery, and frequent events and gatherings, have enriched my living experience.

image I love the glass window design of this apartment. You can get a luxurious view of SJ downtown, especially at sunrise and sunset. The concierge team is super friendly and makes me feel at home when I talk to them. Shout out to team member Rhonda who has been an amazing friend that always makes my day with her passion and positive energy for the job.

image I have lived at Miro for two years and have never really had much interaction with the front desk personnel except for the casual pleasantries when I pass thru the lobby. I lost my access tag along with my mail box key yesterday and had to go to the front desk for assistance in replacing my lost access tag and mail box key. The Experience Manager Isaac Munoz was staffing the desk when I arrived and he was the epitome of what excellent service entails. He has always been very pleasant and friendly when I have passed thru the lobby but I did not expect the level of professionalism and attentiveness that he provided in my time of need. He provided me with a new access tag and immediately put in a work order for the replacement mail box key. I have already received an email this morning informing me that the mail box key is ready for pick up. Absolutely amazing customer service!! This has helped me to decide to renew my lease and stay at this wonderful apartment building. Thank you Isaac!!!

image I would give 5 stars to the lifestyle program - Miro has a staff member, Nikki, who plans incredible events for the residents. If you are moving to San Jose solo and dont have friends in the area yet, Nikkis events a great way to meet people. They usually entail food, drinks, and some sort of social activity. Mardi Gras, a prohibition themed murder mystery, pool parties, Oktoberfest, trivia, you name it. Its unbelievable. She is truly an asset and makes the building feel like a community.
Not everything at Miro has been awesome, unfortunately. Some aspects were pretty rough (its not often you have to file a lawsuit against your landlord). Nikki is just awesome enough that I cant bring myself to deduct more than one star. Keep reading - it gets a little crazy.
The operations staff, like the people at the front desk, cleaning crews, and package handlers, truly care. They try their best to keep things running smoothly and resolve any issues that come up.
That being said, management is not good. We were routinely lied to about maintenance problems (i.e. The fan in your bathroom is supposed to turn on at random and the switch on the wall is not supposed to do anything, Your electrical panel is working correctly, it is supposed to trip if you turn on a vacuum cleaner while the lights are on - are you serious?) We got these resolved eventually, but had to pester them for quite a while.
They also showed an alarming lack of concern for some more serious issues. Cigarette smoke from neighboring units would often blow into our bathroom through the vent, and someone from management told me that he often smells his neighbors cooking and that nothing can be done about it. Not exactly the same issue!
Most frustrating was the move out process. California law requires landlords return the deposit within 21 days of move out. They did not. When I emailed asking for it, they did not reply but sent a check for less than half of our deposit. They did not include an itemized statement of deductions or any invoices for repairs, which are also required by law. I demanded these, and found that we were charged for repainting to address normal wear and tear. Of course, the landlord is responsible for wear and tear, and we were the first tenants to ever live in our unit! The place was in great shape. I requested that money back. They ignored all of my emails after that point, so we had no choice but to take them to small claims. This is public record, by the way.
I know of at least two other tenants who had the same move-out experience. I guess theyre betting on people not noticing or caring enough to do anything about it.
Ultimately, its a beautiful property and the events are a blast. If youre the type of person who isnt afraid to put up a fight with management (or go to court if needed), then Miro could still be a great option for you.

image Living in Miro for the past three months has been an absolute delight! The breathtaking view of the Sierra mountains during sunset and sunrise never fails to amaze me.
The amenities at Miro are superb! We have a well-equipped gym with top-notch core programs, and the cinema on the 5th floor with barbecues by the heated pool adds a fun touch. However, I can't help but wish for a jacuzzi (wink wink to the management ).
The building's services are also impressive. Rhonda, Felicia, Mark, and Regina, along with the rest of the staff, provide a wide range of services, from gym classes on the rooftop to cultural events, dog spa, cleaning services, and tenant inquiries assistance.
Overall, I believe we're definitely getting our money's worth here, considering the excellent services provided.
